My "entry" for The Boy Comment Challenge (What happened to him?) - Hosted by TheBoyMovie

---

Brahms had a very peculiar nanny when he was little. He never noticed something was off, until one day she brought along a very special playmate. The doll she carried was perfect: porcelain skin, raven hair, and emerald eyes.

She asked Brahms to play nicely with her, and so he did. But little boys can be clumsy, and the ball he threw at the doll was heavy. She tumbled off her chair and hit the floor, a small crack on her once pristine rosy cheek.

The nanny was furious and slapped the boy across his face.

Upset by being punished over an accident, Brahms lost his temper. He turned around and kicked the doll, smashing her poor face.

At first, the nanny just stared in utter shock. Then she rose, her expression cold. She grabbed the boy firmly by his neck and ushered him out into the hallway, to her room. She forced him to sit in front of the vanity. She opened one of the drawers and got out a little box.

It was filled with a shimmering, grey substance. She kneeled next to the boy. "Maybe this will teach you to play nice." She blew the dust into his face.

Shocked, Brahms gasped, inhaling the powder. His limbs grew heavy and he fell to the floor, paralysed.

Crying tears that refused to spill from his unmoving eyes, he watched his nanny take a candle to the curtains, setting them ablaze.

Humming a nursery song, she carefully picked him up before the flames could reach him. She carried him outside and placed him in the trunk of her car. Leaning against the cool metal, she watched the fire consume the house.

When she was pleased with how far the fire had spread, she called the alarm number to tell them about the situation. With a voice laced with panic and grief, she told the lady on the other side of the line that the child she was supposed to be taking care of was nowhere to be found.

A sinister smile graced her lips when she hung up. The parents would be devastated, but she already had a nice gift for them to help soothe their heartache.
