•LOUIS'S POV•

Zayn handed off Ryan to Harry while he went to the bathroom and the boys and I have officially turned into high-pitched squealing bimbos over him.

"Look at his hair, he's totally Zayn's kid!" Niall laughed. "He's probably going to style the kids' hair like his, too!"

"If he's got Zayn's hair then I'm going to have to complete the look with his outfit! Uncle Lou is going to make you a ladies' man, Ryan!" I proudly stated.

"If you're going for ladies' man then that's were I step in." Harry said cheekily.

"I'll show him how to get a girl."

"You're going to need me to at least show him how to be a gentleman." Liam piped up. "You don't want him too cocky." He laughed and nudged Harry's arm.

"Everyone knows I've got the best food knowledge! I'll show him the best places for a date." Niall took Ryan from me and started rubbing his cheeks, which made Ryan turn his head and nibble on Niall's finger.

I noticed Zayn hasn't returned so I turned around looking for him when I saw him on the ground and leaning against the wall, one hand in his hair and the other holding something small. I walked over to him and sat next to him.

•ZAYN'S POV•

"Any particular reason you find the ground more satisfying than a cushioned chair?" I heard Louis ask. He came over and sat by me on the ground crossing his feet as he looked at me.

I kept staring ahead of me, lost in my thoughts. "Its just... I'm trying to let everything sink in. I'm a father now to beautiful twin little boys, I have amazing best friends that are there for me, a career that I've dreamed of forever, and a girlfriend that males me the happiest. So much good has happened to me, I-I can't believe it's all real."

Louis's face scrunches up a bit. "Then what's the problem?"

I looked back down to the small box in my hand, but before I could speak up I heard a commotion down the hall. Looking up toward the noise I saw a security guard running after someone.

"We need a crash cart ready, stat!"

"Put the NICU on lockdown until he's caught!"

Louis and I get up to find the voices, and all the color from my face drains when I hear the noise coming from Ava's room. I ran over and saw the doctor and nurses rushing over Ava.

"Quick, we're losing her!"

"What the hell is going on?!" I heard Louis shout since I was to shocked.

"A man came in threatening her and the babies, then he ran and she's having a severe reaction to something he gave her!" The doctor shouted back to me.

I ran over to see the NICU and check on Carter where I saw two guards on a man I was not expecting to see.

"The fu- Connor?!"

So far my summer has consisted of traveling from California to Tennessee for 5 weeks, and spending one of those weeks in Illinois.
