"I will miss you" Demi spoke softly as she looked up at her husband. She had a few tears in her eyes. She hugged him tightly, not wanting to let go. "Please don't leave me" She spoke again, this time her voice was raspy, almost chocking on her own tears.
Wilmer looked at his wife with sad eyes. He kissed her forehead gently and looked in her eyes. "You know that if I could I would... But I can't. It's my duty" He kept looking at her while holding her face in his hands.
Demi looked down sadly and nodded "Yes, I know. I will miss you. Please come back soon" She looked at him and tried to smile, but failed.
He smiled weakly at her and kissed her gently, trying to saver the moment "I promise I will be back safe and sound Hermosa" He smiled and hugged her tightly.
Suddenly he heard the loud speaker announcing his flight number. He had to go... he had to leave her now. "I have to go now, I will miss you." He kissed her one last time and turned around, trying not to miss his flight.
Standing in the middle of the airport, she waved her husband goodbye. It had always been hard watching him walk off, but this time... it was the hardest so far.

FIVE MONTHS LATER

Demi was sat on her leather couch as she read one of her favourite novels. It wasn't long before she was interrupted by a knock on her door. Placing the book down, she walked towards the door. She opened it slightly and saw a small blonde at the door, with a huge smile on her face. "Marissa, come in" She smiled small and opened the door wider in order for her to come in.
Marissa walked in and looked around the house, she walked towards the couch and sat down, crossing her legs. She looked over at the brunette and motioned for her to come over. She smiled "Are you excited?" She asked.
Demi smiled and nodded while taking a seat in the couch "Yes. Have you heard from Kian, already?" She asked curiously.
Marissa smiled "Yes. He called yesterday and told me his flight is tonight, he might be here tomorrow" She sighed happily and smiled at Demi.
Demi hugged Marissa gently "I am so happy for you" She exclaimed.
Marissa nodded "Have you heard from Wilmer yet?" She asked curiously as she squinted her eyes slightly.
Demi shock her head slightly "Not yet... I am kind of worried. What if something bad happened to him?" She started worrying and thinking of the worst, but hoping for the best.
Marissa placed  her hand on Demi's shoulder "It'll be okay. I bet he's perfectly fine" She smiled.

Demi sat on a chair in Marissa's backyard. She held Marissa's 7 month old baby in her arms and she watched Marissa pace back and forth. Demi chuckled slightly trying to release the tension "It'll be okay, Marissa."
Marissa sighed and looked at Demi "He was supposed to be here half an hour ago" she said as she was upset and worried.
Demi nodded her head, understandingly. She was about to speak when she heard a knock on the door. She was about to stand and go answer the door, but saw Marissa run to the door before her. Marissa saw her husband at the door and jumped of happiness. Her smile, radiant. "KIAN" She exclaimed as she jumped on him and kissed his face all over. It had been too long since she had seen him.

Demi saw the couple and smiled at the cuteness. However, her mind soon drifted of when she started remembering her husband. Where was her husband? Where was Wilmer? He was supposed to be there, he was supposed to arrive with Kian. Demi stood up and walked towards Kian and Marissa, while holding their baby. "Hi Kian" She smiled as she hugged him sideways. She looked down at his baby and handed him to Kian.

Kian smiled widely at the sight of his and Marissa's baby. He planted a big kiss on his forehead. He had grown so much in the time he had been away.

Demi cleared her throat "I don't mean to ruin the moment but where is Wilmer?" She asked as she rubbed her arm nervously.

Kian looked at Demi sympathetically "Demi, I'm so sorry. I know that we were supposed to come back together... But I didn't find him. I have no clue where he is" He touched Demi's arm as he looked at her apologetically.

Demi shook her head and her eyes started watering. She ran up to their guest bedroom and placed her face in her hands. This could not be happening. She quickly raised her face when she heard the door creaking open. Wiping her eyes, she stood up and looked at Marissa.

Demi sat in the Callahan's living room watching a movie with Marissa, Kian and their beautiful baby. It had been a few hours since Kian had come home without Wimer. Demi had been trying to gain her state of mind. Suddenly there was a loud knock on the door.

Marissa stood up to the door. When she opened the door her mouth feel and her eyes began to water. She looked over at Demi and was about to call her when she was cut off.

Demi heard her name being called and her heart suddenly sank. That voice... It sounded so familiar. She turned her head and saw something she had been expecting. Her eyes watered and after gently passing the baby to Kian, she ran over to her husband. "Wilmer..." She whispered as she held him tightly. He was here. She started crying softly as she held him close to her.

Wilmer slowly put his hands around his wife's small waist. He had missed her immensely "Demi... I've missed you mi hermosa"

Marissa smiled at the view, her best friends husband was home safe and Demi was finally happy.

Demi smiled at her husband as she pulled away. She kissed his lips gently. Life right now could not get better. He was back for good. He had promised... he was safe and sound and he was most importantly here with her... in her arms.
