Demi intertwined her fingers together as she sat in front of a handsome raven haired man. She smiled at him, as she recalled the old memories. "How is life?" She asked, not sure of how to start the conversation.

Wilmer held up his drink "It's getting there..." He didn't know what else to tell her. She had called him two hours ago, asking him to meet her at their favourite restaurant. He has been waiting for an hour previous to her arrival, five minutes ago.

She nodded slowly looking down at her glass of water "That's good to hear" She wasn't sure how to bring up the subject, she couldn't just drop the bomb on him like this now that she thought about it.

Finally cutting the small talk, he sat up straight and looked directly at Demi "So what's so important that you wanted to meet up?" He wasn't sure why she would have asked him to meet up with him.

She cleared her throat trying to find a way in which she could tell him the news. "Well, you know how Joe and I have become pretty serious..." She cleared her throat once again, this was harder than she expected.

Wilmer raised his eyebrow, sure he had actually been there when the couple met five months ago and had accidentally set them up together. Was she going to tell him that she was moving in with him? He didn't know.

Building up the courage, she blurted out "We're getting married, the ceremony is set for January!" She smiled as she looked at Wilmer in front of her.

At that moment, Wilmer felt his world crash around him. Did she really just say that she was getting married? Let alone, going to marry a man she barely knew. He couldn't bring himself to say anything at this point. He felt his throat tightening, preventing him from saying anything.

She cleared her throat "I know that it's a little soon, but I really love him! He makes me so happy" She smiled dreamingly thinking about her fiancé.

Wilmer nodded, finally letting out some words "Demi, you hardly know the guy?" Right after the words left his mouth, he regretted it. Why had he just said that? Clearly, she was happy so he should have been happy for her, as well. "I'm sorry, Demi... I didn't mean that"

She shook her head and blinked a couple of times "No, you're right. I hardly know him, but I know that he makes me happy and that is something that I have not felt in a while" She looked at him intently.

Wilmer nodded "I'm happy for you" He stood from his seat. Without saying much else, he left the restaurant leaving the small brunette confused in her seat.

"You know that I love you, Wilmer, but I need time for myself to figure out what it is I want in life" The brunette looked at Wilmer in front of her. The two teenagers had been dating for what seemed eternity, but graduations around the corner and she wanted to experience new things.

The teenage boy nodded his head "Yeah I understand, Dem's. We have been dating since middle school, I think it is time to experience new things" Though Wilmer was hurt, he knew this would be the health thing to do. They were going to different colleges anyway.

She nodded her head in agreement "You know that I will alway love you, Wilmer. Even though we are going to different colleges, I hope that one day we can reunite." She smiled as she looked at Wilmer.

"Hopefully" He replied as she tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, like she always did.

Wilmer sat on the black leather couch taking occasional sips from his glass of wine, remembering the times he has spent with Demi. He could not believe that she would be getting married in a month, already. When had everything gone wrong? It was him that was supposed to be getting married to her, not that stranger. Why had he even reunited with her after college? They had bumped into each other at a job interview. They worked in the same office, it was impossible not to see her every day of the week. Up until recently when he quit his job to start his own company. He would of asked her to co-partner, but having the love of your life and ex-girlfriend as copartner is not exactly ideal. Though they did not see each other daily anymore, they had kept in contact. Lunch dates, dinners, and occasional events. He had been hoping they would soon rekindle the flame, but now that was all thrown out the window when she told him the news. He sighed and took a long sip from his glass, downing all the wine. As he was swallowing the last bit of the alcohol, he heard the pitter patter of high heels. He rolled his eyes, knowing what was coming.
