I was at the shop taking calls and appointments. It was Thursday and we were busy as hell.
I got all the latest gossip while I was here I ain't need social media they spilled all the tea in this shop.
"Girl yes. Found him in bed with another man." Claudette one of our usuals stated as Cassy curled her hair.
"Stop lying!" Cassy said covering her mouth.
"I swear it was another man he was gay." Shaking my head I helped a walk in as everyone carried on with conversation.
"Hi. Welcome to Sultry I'm Bella. How can I help you today?"
"Umm, this is my first time here." Smiling the girl looked around admiring the shops beauty.
Her male friend came in right after her.
"How you doing? Get her the works." Nodding I ushered her to the shampoo bowl letting Tracy handle her from there.
Walking back to the front desk he was still standing there.
"She'll be done in a couple of hours. You could wait around if you'd like, but payment isn't required until after the service." Smirking he looked me over.
Feeling uneasy I broke eye contact.
"So you gone act like you don't know who I am?" He asked throwing me off.
"Uhh I don't. Am I suppose to know you?" I furrowed my brows together confused.
I looked him over making sure I took in ever detail.
He was fine I'd give him that. He had a beard. His eyes were beautiful reminded me of Travis's the way they pulled you in. Nice build with a caramel skin complexion. He had a tattoo on his cheek but he was still a fine man none the less.
"Bella right? Use to stay on Tavenor had a bestfriend that lived next door name-"
"JAY!! OMG!!!" He laughed at my excitement.
I came around the desk and gave him a hug.
"Wassup? I ain't seen you since we moved right before freshman year."
"I know. Wow... Time really flies. My bestfriend a grown ass man outchea."
"Shit me? Look at you." I smiled.
"Oh my goodness. Give me your number we gotta catch up. I really missed you when y'all moved like I had nobody after that. You were my only friend."
"I know man I missed you too. But yea lets do that would love to catch up wit you bell." He smirked looking me up and down.
Clearing my throat I passed him my phone as I grabbed his storing my number.
"Well text me or something so we can grab lunch. Your girlfriend should be ready around 12. It was really good to see you Jay."
"That ain't my girl but I fuck wit her tho. It was really good running into you though baby girl. I'll call you." He pulled me into a tight hug before telling his friend he'd be back and leaving the shop.
"Ain't that right Bella?" Tamera the messy stylist asked a question I didn't catch.
"What?"
"You got a man at home. A fine one at that. You ain't tryna still this gals man is you?" Scrunching up my face at her statement I chuckled.
