..Rule of life no. 1 - Always watch where you are going.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well you know how I said that I loved Tristan? Yeah I don't love him, well I hope I don't love him because that would totally ruin our friendship. So I just like him.
Anyway walking home from school - I gladly remembered the way to go home although I was scared I might end up bumping into a very angry Jay after I slapped him in the face and called him a jerk.
When I got home mum was standing at the kitchen sink almost frozen halfway through washing a cup and staring at something in the backyard. Or maybe she was daydreaming.
"Hey mum" I said scanning the fridge for something to eat.
No reply.
I walked up to her and waved my hand in front of her eyes to try and get her attention.
"Muuummm" I sang out.
She snapped out of her daydream and came back to life.
"Oh Layla I didn't see you there!" She said surprised.
"Yeah... So are we still going on that shopping trip?" I asked hoping she is still in the same mood as this morning.
"Maybe tomorrow, I am really tired I've been c-cleaning the house and l-looking for jobs a-again" she was stuttering which meant that she was still suffering from anxiety and/or depression today.
"Oh okay" I said grabbing an apple and walking upstairs to my room. I bet she was standing at the sink the whole day just staring out into the garden.
I feel sorry for her. I've tried to help her but she only gets angry at me when I do. She only listens to Nicole.
Speaking of Nicole I wonder where she is...
Suddenly my phone started ringing . It was Sierra.
"Hey Sierra. What's up?" I said after I tapped on answer.
"L-Layla, p-please come to m-my h-house. I.. I need y-you" Sierra sounded like she was crying.
"What happened? Are you alright? Why are you crying?!" I asked panicking.
"P-please, j-just come hurry! P-p-please."
Beeep!
And just like that she hung up. I was so scared, I quickly grabbed my skateboard and ran downstairs. Mum was still staring at the window. I momentarily paused to look at her. Gosh I felt so bad for her. She wouldn't realise that I was gone anyway so I just ran outside and skated the whole way to Sierra's house. The things I do for my friends.
After ten minutes of non-stop skating I finally arrived at Sierra's house.
I knocked on the door.
Three minutes later..
I knocked on the door again.
Still no one came to open it. I turned the doorknob to find that it was open. What if a serial killer broke into Sierra's house and had killed her!!!! I rushed into the lounge room to find no one in there. I looked around to see if anything was broken or stolen. Being in the house alone I actually feared for my own life. I looked around downstairs for a while and decided to go down and check the basement.
The basement is actually our own little slumber den where we have slumber parties and hang out in.
I slowly opened the door trying to make no sound. The lights were all off. So I flicked them on and...
