*Sirrenity's p.o.v.*
There is nothing but darkness once again. Why isn't there anyone around? Was I finally losing my sanity? I couldn't tell what was real and what wasn't. Is it all just some type of messed up dream? If so...why can't I control it? Why can't I wake up?!
'Im afraid... I can't just stay. I need to get out!' I screamed. Nothing but echo's yelled back at me. I ran. I dont know where I was going or if I was even moving. But I ran into the darkness. Not knowing what was out there...or if anything was even out there.
*Mr.Hernandez's p.o.v.*
'I-i knew it! We shouldn't have moved closer. Its too dangerous for both of us. She can get hurt before I-' my train of thoughts was cut off.
"Excuse me sir. I'm afraid that visiting hours are over. You need to leave." A nurse had walked into the room. Her brown hair was put into a tight bun, her dark blue eyes seemed to darken as she looked at me.
"I thought I already told you guys that I wasn't leaving. That this was my only daughter and I wasn't going to leave her!" I growled angrily at her.
"I understand sir, I have a child of my own and I would do the same as you. Although I know that he would be in a safe place," the nurse said calming almost giving me a dirty look.
The sparks of anger got a bit smaller, but I still wasn't willing to leave.
Seeing how determined I was she signed. "I'll tell you what Mr.Hernandez ...since I have the night shift, I will personally watch your daughter for you." She pushed up her glasses.
"What's your full name?" I asked.
"My full name name is Nikki Scarlet."
I got up and walked to the door and looks at, now comatose, daughter then at the nurse. "Nikki Scarlet... If anything happens to my daughter during the time she is here, you're gonna need a lawyer. It better be a good one too," I snarled at her.
"Yes sir, but there will be no need for a lawyer, She will be perfectly safe with me." She said back in a firm tone.
I growled and walked out of the room. After I signed myself out and got into the car, I couldn't help but hit the car horn in frustration. "Damn it! I knew I should have done this myself!" I yelled.
*Nikki's p.o.v.*
He finally left the room, it was hard getting him out but my plan still ended up working.
I looks at my patient 'she is really...I really wish I was that pretty when I was her age.' I thought as I smiled.
I looked at the profile on her at the end of her bed, I recognized her last name. It was the same name as the woman that was murdered years back, Lyra Hernandez, she was also the first person I ever helped deliver.
I looked at Sirrenity , "so this is what you were carrying Lyra? You really did a good job.." I smiled.
*flashback*
"Just a bit more ma'am! Push harder!" I encouraged the new mother so she could get through the pain as quickly as possible.
She screamed as she tried pushing the baby out of her. Sweat pouring down her body and a furious blush spread across her face like a wild fire. She took deep breathes and screamed again as she pushed.
"Congrats ma'am! Its a beautiful girl!" I smiled as I cut the umbilical cord. I wrapped the baby in a small blanket and handed her to her mother.
I watched in admiration, then snapped out of it in seconds and cleared my throat. "i-if you don't mind ma'am, i-i will wash her after you give her a name." I said as I smiled.
"Sirrenity...yea...Sirrenity!" She looked at me and smiled. Her white teeth seemed to light up the room.
"I love that name ma'am! I-" I was cut off.
"Please just call me Lyra!" She giggled. "No need for the "ma'am" crap!"
I blushed and hesitated 'does she really mean that..?!' I thought and smiled. "O-okay then Lyra, I'll be back with a wash cloth and some warm water.
I ran out of the room not only a bit embarrassed but a blushing mess.
*end of flashback*
Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated in a while. I'm gonna try and update a few times a month from now on. I mean I really don't want to let out a new story without finishing this one.
