Germany x Italy

  "Bye Germany!"

"See ya later, Germany."

"B-Bye G-Germany..."

"Bye," Germany responded coolly. He kept his usual stoic expression as he sat down on a bench near his bus stop.

Since it was spring break, everyone had gone home early and Germany would most likely be the only one riding the bus home.

When the bus drove into the bus stop Germany picked up his bags and walked inside. The bus was empty so Germany found a seat in the back row.

A few minutes passed and just as the bus was about to leave a voice was heard from the outside.

"Wait!"

Germany looked out the window to find a brunette making his way onto the bus.

Germany groaned. He remembered this boy. This was the boy he continuously ignored. The boy who scooted his desk right next to his whenever he got the chance. The boy who always stood up for what he believed in.

This was the boy...
... Who Germany secretly admired the most.

"Excuse me!" the boy said.

Germany glanced at the boy who stood before him. The boy's face was a bit pink and his eyes were covered with determination.

"I was wondering if I... if I could sit next to you."

Germany eyes widened a bit. What was he supposed to say? The bus was empty!! This boy could sit practically anywhere and yet he wanted to sit right next to him.

Germany bit his lip. He couldn't respond. Germany was considered a popular and populars weren't supposed to associate with nonpopulars, such as this boy. And besides, Germany had never spoken to this boy before!

Germany struggled to respond. How was he supposed to communicate with this boy if he wasn't supposed to talk to him?

When the bus started to leave the boy frowned and turned to walk away.

Germany's heart raced. He felt like a jerk. This boy consistently tried to get his attention and Germany had always shrugged him off. Was his ego really that important?

His body moved on his own and before he knew it, Germany's hand grabbed the hem of the boy's shirt. He didn't care about his ego anymore; all that mattered were this boy's feelings.
The boy turned to look at him as Germany spoke quietly.

"Y-You... You can sit next to me if you want to."

The boy stood there for a minute containing what Germany had just said. He had never heard Germany speak before. His eyes widened. Unconsciously, tears began to trickle down the boy's cheeks and he fell to his knees in the middle of the bus isle.

"H-Hey! Why are you crying?" Germany asked, trying to figure out what was going on. He wiped the boy's tears with his shirt, desperately trying to stop them from running down the boy's face.

"S-Sorry. I-I'm just so happy..."

Germany took the boy's hand in his own and brought him to sit right next to him. The boy buried his face in Germany's chest making the blonde feel very uncomfortable. Despite his embarrassment, Germany brought his arms around the boy and rested his head on the boy's shoulder.

About 10 minutes later, the boy had stopped crying and Germany felt more relieved than ever.

"Germany," the boy spoke snuggling deeper into Germany.

"Y-Yea," Germany replied. He was still a bit embarrassed with the situation.

"Are you going out with anyone?"

"HUH!?"

The boy looked up at Germany and smiled sincerely.

"B-Because if you're not then I was wondering if you'd want to go out with me after spring break."

Germany's face turned three shades of red instantly.

"WHAT!? ARE YOU CRAZY!? I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOUR NAME!!"

"It's Italy."

"THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!!"

The bus pulled to a stop next to Germany's neighborhood.

"Please..." Italy begged.

"Gotta go!"

Germany pushed Italy off of him and sprinted out the bus. Italy pouted. The bus pulled away from the stop and continued on. Italy looked out the window and frowned childishly. Germany ignored Italy's expression and continued walking away.
Italy sat down silently at the back of the bus.

"I'll ask him again after spring break..."
