The world echoed around Rose as though she was under the ocean. Light flickered into her eyes slowly as she awoke. Still lying under the rose archway. She couldn't remember what happened. But a distant memory flittered in her mind. They seemed jumbled up. As though placed in a bag and shook. Words echoed through her mind. And as she placed a weary hand to her head she heard it.
"Don't tell him" it said. The voice, that of man's, cut out the echoes in a stunned silence. Rose's vision suddenly cleared, and she was now fully able to stand. She spun around as though looking for someone or something. But nothing was there. Rose pondered over her thoughts
'Did that really happen?' 'Who was that?' 'I should tell the-' 'Don't tell the doctor!' There it was again that deep voice. Ringing in her ears. She thought of the doctor and decided to find him."Ah, there you are!" Smiled the doctor. His smile ripping through Rose's heart. " listen there's something wrong. We should probably leave." Rose gave the doctor a look and they both burst out laughing. It was an old joke but one that got her every time. Her mind never crossed the idea of telling the doctor. As though she had a wall blocking her from doing so.

"Good. It's been too long since I've had a good meal. You say both are infected?"
"No sir. Only one. She Seems to be fighting it but we can probably say she'll be dead by morning,"

Rose and the doctor ventured further into the jungle. The doctor could tell something was wrong. For every step he took rose was always a step behind. 'That's not like her.' He thought. The doctors thoughts were mostly of rose. She was the only human he'd met that made his two hearts throb. Hucato was an ugly place with her to compare it to. Several times she had stumbled. As though sleepwalking. This wasn't like her. The doctor would have said something. But Rose would deny anything. That's one thing he loved and hated about her. No matter how much pain she was in she wouldn't say a word. But if someone else was in danger she wouldn't hesitate to help. If something was wrong with her he would have to find out himself.Rose and the doctor had been walking for some time now. With each step rose felt considerably tired. Her mind was foggy and her eyes were clogged with a green mist. She wanted so badly to tell him. But no. He would panic be a doctor and get distracted. He doesn't like it when we show weakness. Its like watching a flower wilt. A reminder that it would always inevitably end and you would always outlive it. No matter how much care you give it.
