Chapter Fourteen

*Two weeks later*
After a moment of standing there the door opened.
I was expecting Liz to be standing there but instead it was Joey.
When she saw me she leaned against the door frame, "Finally came back around?"
I laughed and rolled my eyes, "first of all, this isn't your house, I was expecting Liz. Second of all, why are you still here?"
She moved and gestured for me to come in, "well you see, my vacation turned into a move, and so I'm going to be staying here until I find a house or you realize that you're still in love with me.
"Trust me when I say this, I'm not still in love with you"
"Oh d-" she was interrupted by Liz walking in the room.
"Sky!" She said rubbing her eyes, "When did you get here?"
"Just a few minutes ago, did you just wake up?"
She pointed to her hair I hadn't yet noticed was dripping water, "just got out of the shower"
I nodded, "so do you want to go out for brunch?"
"Sure" said Joey even tho she knew I wasn't talking to her.
Liz and I both rolled her eyes then liz spoke, "Yeah, just let me get ready"

"Okay you can go take your seat and we will have your meal to you shortly" said the cashier, so Liz and I made our way to a booth in the corner.
"Is there a reason that you showed up at my door and just decided to take me out to brunch?"
"I just missed my best friend is that a crime?" The waitress sat down our food and liz made eye contact while taking a sip of her drink.
"It is if you're lying" she said.
I rolled my eyes, "how has life been?"
"It's been pretty good, me and Tyler are thinking about going on vacation. Speaking of vacation, how was going to see your mom?"
I finished chewing my food then answered, "it went well, mom finally accepted my homosexuality"
Liz sat down her coffee,
"Well that's good, but you don't seem too ecstatic"
I sighed and looked out the window,
I said it quick like ripping off a bandaid, "I'm tired of dating Lauren"
