Chapter 1
{School Life}
--------------------------
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
The School bell rang after Period 4, and the sound of year 7's running to the canteen filled the corridors. I stood up from my science stool, flung my backpack over my shoulder and folded my blazer over my arm. This heatwave was too much.
I walked over to Miss Grant's desk and passed her my finished ISA before I made my way out into the jam-packed corridor too. As Kayla, my bestest friend and I walked to our lunch table to meet the rest of our little friendship group, she stopped me in the middle of the courtyard. 'Whats bothering you Alex? Your not talking and your usually the person who doesn't shut up!' She joked. 'I'm fine Kay, just nervous to find out if I get this apprenticeship or not. I need it!' I replied.
2 weeks before I had applied for an apprenticeship at BBC Radio 1, as well as applying to State London Performing Arts and Media College. We began walking again, not saying anything for the rest of the way.
We arrived at our lunch table and everyone was already nattering away.
Fathers Day was coming up and everyone within our group started talking about what they were going to buy for there dad's. Me and Adrian, my twin brother, just sat their sighing. We didn't have a dad growing up, so we kind of felt left out.
'Oh yeah me and my sister are getting my dad a new motor bike and rare figureine of a Harley Davidson, with our pocket money!' Canada Coilingson, one of the spoilt brats within our group, said.
She was always trying to put people down and make them feel like they are worthless. Her mum and dad have high paid management jobs and are quite wealthy. Her hair was always dead straight with her fringe curled to the side of her caked up face. She wore her lycra skirt so high that when she sat down, you could pretty much see her underwear. Now, she is in our friendship group as Jasmine and Martina, the 'leaders' of our group, are friends with her, just because they all share a love of horses. I guess it didn't bother me that much. After all I had Kayla and Melody, my 2 best friends.
Lunch only lasted 40 minutes and the warning bell for period 5 soon went. I looked at my timetable at what I had next. Great. Maths with Mr Lawson. Thank god our final exam was this week so I don't have to have him again. Kayla, Melody and I made our way through the crowd to the main staircase. Everyone, as usual, was pushing and shoving and it took 5 minutes just to get to the top floor. Infact, we reached the door of our maths class just as the second bell went. As normal, Mr Lawson did his 30 minute talk on what we were actually doing today which only have us 30 minutes to do the work. I held my phone under the desk, constantly checking my emails to see if i had got anything from Radio 1. 'Miss Howell! What do you think you are playing at? Texting in my lesson?!' Mr Lawson yelled at the top of his deep voice. I looked up and saw him standing in front of my desk. His big, manly hand was held out to my face. 'Sir, it's important!' I replied. I normally didn't dare answer him back but this truly was important. My life relied on this email or phone call. 'More important than your maths exam?!' He exclaimed, 'Phone Now!' I stood up, pushing my chair back and began shouting at him. 'Yes it is more important than a stupid maths exam! I'm finding out whether I get my dream job or not! I don't give a shit about maths! I don't need trigonometry to succeed in my life you asshole' I yelled right in his face.
The whole class stared at me in shock and gasped.
'Get out of my class room now you horrid girl! Don't you dare shout at me like that when I put my time aside to give you ungrateful children an education!' His voice screeched. I saw no point in arguing so I chucked my bag on my shoulder and stomped out the classroom, slamming the door behind me. No way was I going to stand here and watch him attempt to shout at me. There was only 10 minutes of period 5 remaining, so I walked off to my next lesson. Thank god it was one I like. Media with Mrs Malington. This would actually contribute to what I wanted to do with my life.
When I arrived outside my classroom, ME5, her year 10 class was still in there, so I decided to go a sit in the nearest toilets. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and thinking that it was from Radio 1, I quickly reached for it. It wasn't though. It was Kayla, asking where I was, and that she has never seen me get like that to a teacher before. Mr Lawson was the worst teacher in the school and I had wanted to shout back to him all year. But today he just went over the top and I lost it.
The bell for period 6 sounded and I unlocked my cubicle door and walked straight to my media class again.
'Afternoon Miss!' I called, walking over to my workstation. Miss Malington looked up from her desk. 'Oh good afternoon Alexine. My! Your early!' She said. 'Oh yeah I err..got sent out of maths for arguing back to Mr Lawson' I replied, sounding quite smirk. Miss giggled, walked over to me and handed me my coursework. 'Well done!' She smiled, passing me the plastic wallet. I turned it over and stared at the front sheet. My jaw dropped. A* on assignment 1, B on assignment 2 and A on assignment 3! I couldn't believe it! It was better than I had done in any of my other subjects.
Everyone else in my class began crowding into the classroom and PJ, my ex boyfriend, came and took his usual seat next to me. 'PJ' I said, staring at him, giving him a friendly smirk. 'Alexine' he replied, placing his ass into the seat. 'Its Alex. You should know that' I continued, poking his shoulder. He swept his fringe to the side, as if he was a gay emo trying to act straight, and turned his back to me. I broke up with him a few months ago but we were still friends. Well at least I think we were.

Whoa whoa! I think we are finding out about Alexine's character here. Outgoing? well I think she is outgoing, personally. But what shall happen next?
Well read o to find out....
