I paced in front of the house door. Today was my eleventh birthday, and all I could think about was getting my fingers on that letter.
Five minutes pass 12:00. It's official, I have come of age.

I begin to panic. Shouldn't it be here by now? My hair changes from red, to a light shade of purple, I was nervous.
My mom and brothers stare at me, almost like they did the day they found out I was a witch, the first in the Willikon family in decades.
12:10
I sit down, and cup my hands to my face. Did I not make it? I thought to myself. Did I do something wrong?
12:15
Tears began to slip down my cheeks, when I heard a low hoot. I look up past my hair that is now grey, curiosity.
Could it be?
Another hoot, louder than before. I stand up and run out the door, and there in the dim light of the moon, was a golden brown owl, coming towards me.

I smile, and looked back to my family, with shocked faces.
I look back to the owl, and hold out my right arm out, that is wrapped safely with an owl landing glove, bracing myself for the land.
The owl lands with a whoosh, causing my hair to flutter back slightly. My hair is now dark grey.
There, tied around the owls leg, was a light creamed colored letter. I untie the burden from the owl, and rub it slightly under the beak.
"Thank you" I whisper to it.
With a reassuring hoot, the owl flew away.

I bowed my knees in excitement, and dashed inside my house, followed by my mother and siblings. I sat down, and inspected the letter. In green printing, it read;

Sariah Willikon.
Coast of Maine.
Under drive old Street.

I ripped open the letter and read aloud.

Dearest S.Willikon,

Congratulations! We are pleased to inform you, that you have been accepted into Hogwart's school of witchcraft and wizardry.

All I needed was to read these words, and instantly, my world changed. I looked up at my family and grinned. I handed my mom the letter, rubbed my hands together, and waited in a quiet intensity.
My hair was now orange.
I was happy.
