"What happened?" I breathed. Someone had vandalized the wall that surrounded the Indian camp, in big red letters, four words were written: 'Give us the Faeries.'
"No one knows. But faeries means you and Peter." Tigerlily explained.
"We should go, then we can figure out who is behind this." I suggested, but Peter grabbed my hand.
"No. It's too dangerous. I wouldn't want you getting hurt." He argued. "I'll go. I'm the Pan, after all. I'll figure out who it is and put a stop to it."
"But what if you get hurt?" I asked.
"I'll be fine. Stay with Bellatrix and the other lost girls. I don't want you alone." He instructed.
"Peter please-" He slipped something into my hand, before flying into the air. I tightened my grip on whatever he had given me until my knuckles turned white, and Bellatrix took my arm, leading me back to my room. I opened my hand once I was already changed and in bed: his Pan necklace. I smiled, and hung it around my neck, snuggling into the pillows. Bellatrix and two other lost girls, were sleeping on the floor (Tigerlily was on another bed that had been moved in). I fell into a reasonably peaceful sleep.

I woke to the sound of Bellatrix, Jane and Aylee fighting pettily over who got to wear what. I groaned and rolled over. Presumably, Tigerlily's reaction was pretty similar.
"Will you shut up already?!" I shouted, stuffing a pillow in my face.
"Peter's back!" Bellatrix shouted suddenly. I shot up, and got changed into one of my faerie made outfits (Tinkerbell loves to make them. I have a whole wardrobe thanks to her!) And ran outside.
"Peter?!" I called.
"I'm here." He replied, landing flawlessly in front of me. I didn't bother to resist the urge to hug him.
"What did you see?" I asked. "Do you know who's behind it?"
"No. I didn't see anything." He replied.
"Oh." I remembered about his little token, and handed it back to him.
"Keep it. It's a gift." He gave it back to me, and I managed a smile.
"What are we going to do? Someone on Neverland wants us. For better, or for worse. They won't stop attacking the camp until they get what they want." I pointed out. Peter furrowed his brow in thought.
"Once we figure out who they are, then we can worry about why they want us. Blackbeard wanted me because it was prophesied that I would defeat him. Maybe it's a similar situation here." Peter suggested. I frowned.
"Something the Faerie Queen said keeps bothering me." I admitted.
"What's that?"
"'Soon you will understand just how far people are willing to go for love'" He looked into my dark eyes for the first time. I noticed how blue his were, like crystal, glittering in the early morning sunlight. He held the back of my neck with one band, and pulled me against him, until his lips tickled my ear.
"And how far are you willing to go?" He whispered, our cheeks brushed as we broke apart.
"As far as it takes." I stated.
"Come on, love birds. We've got several good warriors out, looking for whoever is behind the attack, you two are bait." James interrupted.
"Bait?!" I retorted.
"Bait." He repeated with a smirk. Peter scowled at him. I had begun to noticed the friction between the two friends, and wondered for the hundredth time if I might be the cause.
"Are you coming?" Tigerlily interrupted, walking up to us, and breaking the tense silence.
"We were just coming." James replied, faking a smile. He turned on his heel, and started towards the gates. Tigerlily lingered, raising her eyebrow.
"It's nothing." Peter assured her. She didn't look convinced.
"I've never seen you look at anyone, since Blackbeard, that darkly; even then, that was only when he taunted you about your mother." She pointed out.
"It's nothing." Peter repeated, before flying over the gate. I chose to walk with Tigerlily.
"Neither of them are usually like this." She told me, as we stumbled through the long grasses in the jungle.
"I figured that." I answered. "But why now?"
"I don't know. Peter has never been as close to any lost girl, as he is to you." She smirked, and I chuckled.
"We're not that close." I rolled my eyes.
"So you say. The thing is, James has been good friends with Peter for almost a decade, I don't think he likes the idea of another girl getting between them. I think he's willing to do anything to stop it, even if it means that he loses Peter." She explained. I fiddled idly with the Pan around my neck.
"I don't want to cause that." I shook my head.
"Kat, I think you already have. But it's not your problem. It's theirs." She gestured to the two ex-friends that were arguing about something or other. An idea came to mind, then, something completely insane; but possibly the only way to stop this, once, and for all.
