Grim Road - Chapter 13

Stacey’s POV

O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O

After Jackie dropped off the doll, warned me to be nice, and I threw it in my room and flew a few curses at it saying that it was nicer when it wasn’t possesed I grabbed my book and I had finished five chapters I heard a Bang coming from my room. I put down my book and slowly headed up to my room wearily. I reached my room took three deep breaths and opened my door.

I screamed. Right in front of me was the doll; mouth and eyes wide open with blood dripping from them. My room was a mess. Red handprints circled them room and on the far wall written in blood was Better be careful of what you say or they’ll come back to haunt you Oh sh*t I angered a ghost.

I sat down on the floor and started hyperventilating.  I need my puffer. I grabbed it from my pocket and used it accordingly. What was I going to do? How was I going to explain this to my parents? How are we going to stop this?  Were we going to be killed?

Okay answer one question at a time.

What was I going to do? I am going to try to clean this up and be nice to the doll.

How was I going to explain this to my parents? They wouldn’t know. They don’t normally come into my room but from now on I am going to keep my door closed the all the time.

How are we going to stop this? We will figure out somehow how to get rid of this doll.

Were we going to be killed? No. We will figure out a way to get through this.

I texted my friends and told them what happened then Jackie responded by telling us about what happened to her.

Felis: I could take the doll but we need to figure out how to stop this.

Jaden: How?

Jackie: After Stacey took the doll I did some research and tried to contact someone who could help.

Me: Did you find someone?

Jackie: Yes, her name is Pine

Jaden: Pine?

Jackie: Yes. I contacted her and said she could help us. We need to arrange a date for when we can do a “Calling” to the spirit and figure out what she wants us to do.

Felis: But we are grounded for two months how are we going to do that?

Jackie: We might have to wait until our punishments have been uplifted.

Me: I have an idea. How about after one “Bad thing” has happened to us we pass it along to the next.

Jaden: What if nothing bad happens?

Felis: We will put a one week warranty on it

Me: Okay, Jaden your turn

Jaden: Crap! I’ll be there in twenty minutes

Me: Okay.

I sighed, put my phone away and started to clean up the disaster.

Jaden’s POV

It’s been two days since I got the doll and I treating this doll like a queen. I set it up on a stool in my room made sure it looked comfortable and shut the door quietly.

I heard the doorbell ring and I scrambled down the stairs and opened the door with a huge grin on my face.

Ash. My boyfriend was standing at the door with a bouquet of flowers.

“These are for you.” Ash smiled sweetly and handed the bouquet to me. He’s been my boyfriend for two years and I hoped that he would be for a lot longer.

“Thank you, they are beautiful. I am going to go put them in some water. Come on in.” I went to the kitchen, set up the flowers in a vase and returned to the living room where Ash was sitting on a couch. I wen and sat beside him my mind still reeling about the doll.

“Honey, what’s wrong?” He pulled me over towards him so my head was resting on his chest.

“You’ll think I am crazy if I tell you.”

“I already know you are.” He gave a little chuckle but then returned to his concerned sate. “ I would never think that.” He kissed my head and I sighed deciding whether to tell him or not.

“ I promise I won’t tell.” He said. I decided to tell him.

After I told him I was waiting for him to break up with me thinking I was some crazy person. But all he said was.

“Can I see the doll?”

“So you don’t think that I am mentally unstable?” I asked hopefully.

“Course not now lets go see this doll.” He picked me up bridal style and carried a laughing me to my room.

“Sometimes she gets mad.” I whispered.

“Don’t worry I am here.” He wrapped an arm around my waist and opened the door slowly.

There in front of us was all my pictures of me and Ash that I had hung on the wall spread out and saying You shouldn’t have told him

Ash flinched and pulled me back behind him.

“Where’s the doll?” He asked seeming panicked.

I stuck my head out from behind him and scanned the room until I saw it sitting on my bed staring at us with glowing green eyes. “On my bed.”

His eyes landed on it and he stalked over towards it.

“Ash don’t do anything stupid, scratch that don’t do anything at all.”

I saw his hands twitching with anger but I couldn’t let him make it worse. “Come back downstairs.” I grabbed his hand and led him back to the living room where we sat and talked which then led to a make-out session.
