If anyone is still reading this, here's a little recap if you forgot (I can't put everything in here though, so you might want to just skim the last chapter):
Sarah (main character) and her best friend Jess (also her roommate) have just finished their first year of college, up in Northern California, and are planning on a roadtrip down to Sarah's hometown, Shell Cove. Through an ..interesting event at the mall (read Chapter 1 to refresh your mind if you need to), Sarah and Jess meet Logan and are also sent to mall jail. Logan, who is friends with some officers there, helps expedite the whole process, and Sarah and Jess have just given their statements.
Recap: “And who says you’ll even see me again?” I threw at him, remembering what he had just said.
At my response, his smirk bloomed into a crooked smile. A breathtaking, crooked smile.
“I have a feeling you’ll find that out in a bit. Now, about my wish?”
“I think I’m going to be sticking to the one-wish policy, buddy. That is, if, by some miracle, we ever run into each other again.” Grabbing my stuff, I started to make my way to the front so I could save that poor man from Jess and get the hell out of here.
“It was..interesting meeting you!” I called out as I left the room.
“It was interesting to see you too, Sarah,” he murmured, so low that I almost didn’t catch it.

I found Jess at the front desk, still pestering that poor old man (who by this time looked as if he was ready to move to Guatemala and change his name to get away from her), and dragged her away, regardless of her protests and complaints about "never being the next Piglet now." I figured it was better to just tune her out after I heard that one.
"Why were we in such a rush to leave anyway?" Jess pouted once we had gotten out of the mall and were on our way back to the apartment. "I was having an incredibly enlightening conversation with Roger, and you seemed perfectly fine hanging out with Logan!"
I fumbled around for an excuse, "Well...I thought you needed time to get ready for your date with Vic! Also, we need to start figuring out all the road trip stuff with him and Connor!"
"Remind me later, I have an update on our whole road trip agenda…Oh, right! I can't believe I almost forgot about my date with him tonight. Omigod, what am I going to do? My outfit got ruined! Sarah, I don't have anything to wear…what am I going to do?!"
I sighed, resigning myself to what was most likely going to be a good hour and a half of Jess going "Does this look okay? Actually, wait, it shouldn't look okay, it should look hot! But not an "I'm-trying-way-too-hard" hot or a "look-at-how-desperate-I-am" type dress....but it can't give off an "I-really-don't-care" vibe. I need to find an outfit that says "I like you, but not too much and not too little. Also I'm really attractive." Goshdarnit, why can't clothes just tell me how they would look?! It would be so much easier then..."
She continued to babble on as we reached the apartment building, and only stopped worrying about what Vic would think and how the date would go when we got into the elevator. I don’t know why, but every time Jess is in this elevator, she feels the need to jump.
The whole time.
All the way to the sixth floor.
Regardless of who is coming into or out of the elevator.
