Underage

Justin's POV

Ariana drove down the road as we listened to music.
"So um you want to eat at Ruby's Diner?" I ask her hoping she agrees
"They have vegetarian meals" I added knowing she was going to bring that up
"Uh yeah sounds good, hopefully they'll let us eat" she says talking about the fans and paparazzi.

The paparazzi started to follow me ever since 'One Time' came out, and now they're definitely going to follow because of the Ariana and Sean drama that I'm in the middle of. They think it's my fault they fought and broke up.

She drove and there was an awkward silence, until we got to the diner. We both got out the car and spotted paparazzi, they followed us all the way here. Ariana looked annoyed but she ignore all the questions thrown at her. Most were about her situation with Sean and they asked me if we were dating and I ignored them and we just walked into the diner.
"Hi um welcome, party of 2?" The girl in the front asks
I nod and she tells us to follow her.
There wasn't a lot of people in the diner so they weren't staring.

Ariana and I both order our drinks, I order a chocolate shake and she orders water. We look at the food items and I decided to get just a regular burger and fries. She gets a salad. The waiter takes our orders and removes the menus and walks away.

"The workers are staring" I tell Ariana
"Ugh yeah I know, and paparazzi are taking pictures outside the window" she says
"But hey it's ok, um let's talk about your album coming out tomorrow" she says happily
"Ugh I'm like super excited and nervous" I say smiling
"Don't worry, the promo is going good. Better than when one time came out. Plus you're getting tons of fans now" she says
"Yeah I know, they're amazing" I say
Our food came fast and we stop talking about my album and dig in.

We finished our food pretty fast, also Ariana was in a hurry because of the annoying paparazzi. We asked for the check and I gave the waiter my debit card that scooter had gave me and I paid and tipped the waiter. Ariana and I walk out as fast as we could, and honestly we didn't really enjoy our dinner.

We got in her car, and the paparazzi had left us alone.

"What do you wanna do now?" I ask her
"Um wanna go to the beach!?" She asks happily
"Yes, let's go" I say
She starts her car and she starts to drive to the beach, this time the car ride is so much hyped. We were singing to songs that came on the radio and started dancing. Until we got to the beach, it was peaceful and no one was around. We got out the car and walked towards the beach and we sat on the sand, not caring about getting sand in our shoes.

We sat there listening to the waves hit the ground, and looking up at the moonlight. I have no idea if Ariana felt something but I did.

Ariana's POV

We both sat there just staring into the ocean, relaxing and letting all of the problems escape.

"So um why do you think Sean did this to you?" Justin asks interrupting the peacefulness of the ocean
"He got mad because we were flirting online" I say with air quotes at the last part
"Hmm I see, well we kinda did" he says serious
"Well it doesn't seem like flirting to me. Honestly we were just playing around but he took it a whole different way and acted like a child" I say
"Well you ever forgive him?" He asks
"Nope. Fuck me once and I'm done. Same goes with my friendships so watch out" I say joking
He laughs and so do I.

He gets up and he takes my hand
"Come on, I'm going to show you something" he says taking me to this rock area

We climb the rocks and we got to the top and we were able to see the whole city from there

"This is so cool" I say standing next to him.
"Yeah, I love it here" he says looking at me with a smile.

We sat up there and just looked out into the city
"Ever wonder what a normal life would be like?" I ask Justin
"Well for now my life is pretty normal, but I bet you don't live one" he says
"Yeah. You know I miss it. I miss when I could go out and no one followed me. Or when rumors were just spread by dumb girls and not the whole media." I say leaning my head on his shoulder

"Hopefully I get used to life like this" Justin says
I laugh and shiver
"You're cold? Ok get up" Justin says
I smile and get up, He put his hands around my waist and i lean my head on his chest as we both stood there in a awkward position.

He separates from me and takes my hand and intertwine our fingers. I give him a weird look and he smiles.

"Justin..?" I ask
He stays quiet and he takes my other hand and does the same.
"Ariana I um, I like you. Like a lot and I feel like we've gotten closer through out these past weeks and I just want to say that I feel a strong connection with you, not as a friend but as something more." He says
It takes me by surprise and before I knew it his lips were on mine, his hands around my waist again and mine around his neck. He was my height so it made it easy for me to kiss him.

He deepened the kiss and felt heat between our lips, and it somehow felt perfect until I remembered he was underage. I separate from him and give him a shocked look.
His smile starts to fade.
"Gosh I'm sorry" he says
"No don't say anything" I say looking at the ground
"I just really wanted to do it" he says
"Me too but I can't, I'm 21. You know what let's just go" I say

We both get in the car and I drive off. Not talking at all. I didn't even know what to think, I get to scooter's house to drop Justin off. I wave goodbye, things got really awkward after that kiss. He smiles and wave back.

I finally drive home and park my car, I get out and go into my house. It was empty, my mom probably went to Frankie's house and forgot to tell me. I was sad that my doggies were at Frankie's house as well because I miss them but I just don't have time to take care of them anymore. I sigh and walk upstairs and change into my pjs, I turn on Netflix and decide to catch up on 'Scandal'. I lay in bed, and go on my Instagram and just look at the picture I posted with Justin. I also think about it the kiss we shared, which for some reason I can't get it out of my head. It feels so right yet so wrong at the same time.

I text Justin

A: 'hey Justin, I really hope that kiss doesn't ruin our friendship. I love it and I don't want anything to get in the way of it"
J: "I feel the same. Tell you what let's just forget about it"
A: "yes! And to be honest that kiss didn't mean anything to me, no offense"
J: "none taken, I feel the same. I'm glad we talked things out, I'll see you tomorrow to talk in person. Goodnight Ariana"

I read the text and lock my phone. I lied the kiss meant something to me, I don't know what but something. I sigh and just decide to sleep it off, I turn off my tv and cuddle in my bed and fall asleep.
