Chris POV:

"What time is it?" Tori asked a few hours(maybe) after we ate.

"I don't know why don't you have a watch?" Callie asked.

"Um, when there is a threat of zombies eating my beautiful skin do you think I thought to bring a watch?" Tori said. Tori was a bitch. But her skin was nice.

"It's 10:45 p.m. Tori" Dani said.

"Now see this girl bought her watch" Callie said.

"No. I just always bring my phone" Dani said.

"Oh man" Tori said not paying attention to the conversation, "I forgot my phone. How could I, of all people, forget it?"

"I vote we get sleep while we can" Greyson said.

"Lights off?" Callie said.

"No" Dani piped in,"Unless you want to get up and find the switch"

"You turned the lights on Dani wouldn't you know where they are?" Callie asked.

"Doesn't matter" I said, "Let's say it's dark tomorrow morning. how are we going to find the lights?"

"Also" Greyson said,"Light on while here for the month or more would mean less time to go to the other side of the store to turn them on"

"Okay well night!" Callie said and jumped on the mattress probably asleep in seconds. The rest of us jumped in our mattresses.

Less than maybe twenty minutes in to us trying to sleep Tori nudges me.

"Chris?" she asked.

"What Tori?"

"Can I.. um.... can I... sleep.... inthisbed?"

"What?" I asked,"Why?"

"Because I feel safer sleeping with someone and your the only person I can think of."

"Why me?"

"Because Greyson and I just broke up it would be awkward. I wouldn't even dare ask Dani and Callie hates me with a passion it seems"

"She doesn't hate you she hates the situation" I said.

"Still"

"Fine" I said. She got in softly probably worried the others might see her and then call her out.

"Why do you hate Dani?" I asked.

"No, I don't hate Dani. We used to be best friends" Tori said.

"Really?" I asked. Never would have seen that coming.

"Ya" Tori said,"Can I tell you something?"

"Sure" I said.

"I was jealous of Dani. Still am. So I started spreading rumors and everyone believed me. I still can't believe that they believed me" Tori said.

"They didn't believe you Tori. They used your rumors as a way to hurt Dani because they are also jealous of her" I said.

"Well I feel used" Tori said with a chuckle.

"Why though? What did she do that makes you so jealous?"

"Because she was just doing her. which is always perfect. I know Greyson likes her, but he didn't go for her because he was dating me and thought I would be hurt if he did. So I just let him think that. Only because I didn't want Dani to have him. But I guess it was inevitable." Tori said. In that moment I realized something. Dani was pretty and she had a big heart. But buried really deep was Tori's heart.
