(Vincent P.O.V)
"So, you woke up with to a girl singing and dancing to tambourine, she made you breakfast, and told you Piper was upstairs, when you asked her where she was going she dodged your question, ran out the house and came back in for her phone, you asked her for their numbers, she gladly handed them over, you met her in her car, got out and she hopped on her motorbike, you followed suit, she hopped in her car and floored it?"asked Ryan.
"No, she danced on a pole in the living room,"I said sarcastically,"She did exactly what you just said man."
"And you haven't considered inviting me over?" he asked in a tone that revealed he wanted to fuck.
"Dude, I don't think she's one to settle down." I responded quickly.
"Neither are you, just give her one night and leave." he said mischievously.
"Um dude in case you forgot, I live in the same house as her. It would be all weird after," I said will the thought churning in my head.
"Yeah okay well I got to help my Mom. I'll talk to ya later." he said.
"Bye" I said.
What the hell! I comment to myself. Why am I tailing her why do I care?
Because I'm her brother that's why. Well sort of. Well I have to look out for her. Right? I think I'm right.
(Dez POV)
I floored it and just headed off to one of the only place that mattered.
I stopped at the gas station to get gas. I speedily paid then left.
I grabbed a coke and chips and all as if it was a picnic. Well I guess you could say it was. I mean eating at one of the only place that means something to me.
I pass the town movement and I'm finally there. I pull over bring out the coke, a blanket, pillow, and chips.
I lay down on the hood peacefully.
(Vincent POV)
So she brings me to her mystery place.
It's a dumb old sign she is sitting on the hood of her car staring up at the darkening sky eating chips and drinking coke.
Is some one meeting her here? Or did she come alone? Why is she here? Why couldn't she tell me that she was coming to a sign? QUESTIONS that's all that racing through my mind. I pull up and turn around.
(Dez POV)
A car pulls up and turns I wonder. Oh well. The car leaves and a another pulls up and parks behind mine.
The figure of a guy gets out of the car and says "Well isn't it Dez herself?". "Hello Aiden" I say in an annoyed tone. He says"I've been good, how bout you?" "Fine" I replied. "Well someone isn't very talkative" he teases. I tell him "new adopted kid in our home,he questioned me on where I was going and I didn't quite answer."
"Oh" he says,"so why is this spot important to you?"
I pick up my head and look at him " it's the only official way out, without the sign you aren't officially out, it is my ticket to freedom."
"I see, why do you hate this place?" He asks quizzing me, watching my reaction intently.
"It's always the same, everyone the stores, they sell the same clothes nothing changes."I said.
"Do you mind if I steal the second spot ,"he says as I remove a second pillow from under my head. He took that as an invitation. We watch the sun set, talk, and then 'When I was your man' came on.
"May I have this dance?"he asked.
"Sure," I say he pulls me up off the hood of my car. He grabs my hand and draws me in close. We stand there swaying back and forth for a majority of the song. I wouldn't call it magic or anything but I also wouldn't say there isn't potential here.
Breaking the focus on the song, I blurt," I have a question," I said.
"Okay, ask away,"he says.
"How did you know I was here?"I asked.
"Something told me you were here," he said as the song ends.
Then I saw the same car I have never seen before today, turn around and speed away quickly.
