Pained Diamond (Sequel to; Destined Diamond)

Chapter 21

~ Elizabeth's PoV ~

I walked downstairs and saw Edward once again waiting for me. When he saw me his crooked smile left and he left Bella behind to come up to me, "Are you okay, El-liza?" he asked me stroking my hair.

I nodded, "'M okay, E-Dad." I say looking at him, again, yes I was okay, but I sure wasn't fine. Okay was where I was at. Besides, more people faced more trouble's then I.

So many people face famine, people in 2001 faced danger during 9/11, there was a lot of death tolls in the United Nations and elsewhere near that. In Africa people are fighting famine, there's just so many things happening. I don't matter at all.  "Come on, Liz, it's time to go." Emmett said as he and Rose walked out followed by the others. I stopped when I felt someone touch my arm.

I turned and saw Carlisle, "Why don't you stay here, Eliza? It's my day off, we can have fun while Esme goes and has fun as well, she won't have to worry about us." he said smiling at Esme.

Esme smiled and nodded, "I'd love that, but what about your food?"

I nodded too, liking the idea of not going to school, "I'll make it Esme, I'll even teach Carlisle."

She laughed and hugged me softly before hugging Carlisle as well and kissing his cheek then kissing mine, "I'll see you two soon, then. Good luck." she says to both of us as she left in Carlisle's Mercedes. I listened as everyone left and smiled at Carlisle.

"I'm going to go change first, Carlisle." I tell him walking upstairs.  When I got in my room I took the uniform off and got into some white jeans, with a really pretty pink blouse adding on my black high heeled boots.

I walked back down and saw Carlisle sitting on the couch looking relaxed. I smiled and sat by him cuddling into him. Carlisle chuckled at my behaviour and wrapped me into him. I smiled and felt myself purr. "You remind me so much of a cat, Eliza, you know that."

I giggled at him and licked his face laughing at his reaction so hard I fell off the couch holding my stomach. Carlisle straddled me and held me down. "What was that for, exactly?" he asked with amusement clear in his voice and his grin.

I grinned up at him going for the innocent card, "I dough know what you're talking about, Carwisle." I said in a baby voice and blinked my eyes to add effect.

"Darling, Jasper was right. . . .you can make people fall in love with you so easily." he whispered stroking my cheek.

I smiled and looked at him, I leaned up and pecked his lips, "Thank you, Carlisle."

After or scene earlier we finished watching the movie we had been watching called Sleeping Beauty, we decided to go to the mall so we currently were doing exactly that. I heard a song I was familiar with.  I was singing softly when I bumped into a man. "Oh!" I said as I bumped into him and looked up, "I'm so sorry!" I said looking at him.

He smiled, "It's quite alright, love. It was my fault." he replied formerly.

I smiled softly as I saw his red eyes, "I, uh, I'm still sorry. I wasn't paying attention to much."

He gave me a smile before looking over my shoulder and groaning in annoyance, "Great." he muttered, "Aye, love?" he asked as I turned to walk away.

"Yes?"

"I know we just met and all but could you please pretend we are dating so someone can leave me alone?" he ask me.

I looked and saw a girl waking up with a smirk, I nodded and smiled wrapping my arms around his waist, "Yeah, but I'm not sure I'll act to good. . .so sorry."

"Anything is better than her." he said wrapping his arm around my shoulder and I laughed at his comment. I saw Carlisle walking our way and he looked a bit alert at the  fact I was near someone.

"Are you with the lad who looks like he wants to kill me? Or is the lad just jealous I have such a gorgeous girl touching me?" he whispered in my ear as we passed the know glaring girl.

I took this chance to giggle, "Yeah, I'm with him." I answered the same way he had spoken to me.

He looked behind us as we finally were by Carlisle, "Okay, she's gone. I better go before she follows me again. Thank you, love, for the help."

I nodded and walked by Carlisle, "No problem, I figured it's the least I could have done."

He winked before he walked away. "Who was he?" Carlisle asked me as we walked into a shop.

"I bumped into him and he asked me to help him out. Don't worry." I say and kissed his cheek before leaning into him. I saw a CD that was Carrie Underwood's and looked at which album it was.  I had heard it before and fell in love with her songs, sadly I don't quite know what it was called. I set it down and looked at other artists that I've hard before. Christina Perri an example.

I was laying down on the couch watching Baby Looney Tunes and smelling the aroma that was being given away from Carlisle's cooking. I suddenly felt pain and thought over and over the same word—blood. Thinking about it I realized the last I hunted was when I was in Forks.

I ignored the pain and continued watching the cartoon. Finally I heard Carlisle walk in and looked up and he smiled sitting down as I rose, he grabbed me and let me lay on his lap.

He began stroking my hair and I became aware of how tired I was from waking up last night and never returning to slumber. My eyes fluttered shut and I fell asleep.

I liked how it felt, I liked today. How Carlisle helped me forget about my bad premonitions, about my nightmares, about so much.

[This was kind of a filler,
I didn't really like it. I have most planned out, it's just kind of hard ending it.
So, next up: the Epilogue. It may be a bit longer. But it may not

Either way after I'll get started right away with the next book!
