Backstory: He lived in district 12 with his family. When he was 8 years old EJ was killed in front of his eyes then his dad got knocked out and him stabbed in the neck (the scar) her mum was framed for it and locked away. One the same day he ran away with Alice the girl he was in love with, Ali believed he had drowned while trying to escape but he made it to distruct 6. He has felt gulty about leaving the whole time. When he meets Ali in the games he freaks out.
