Im only 17. I cant get married yet. We already have a nephew coming, i cant get married now. Maybe in a few years? I know he is my love for life i know i will marry him, but not right now. "Whats that?" Matt said. He was totally clueless. So He didnt give me this ring? "Its a wedding ring" He looked at me shocked. "We cant get married yet." He said. "Like I'm proposing to you??" i said. "We are only 17." I said again. We called the waiter over and told her what happened. She told us she was so sorry and everything else. "Here, your dinner is on the house." she said. Well free dinner, a wedding ring, and confusion. But even though i know someday that we will get married, i want it to do it later down the road. Then we can start our family together. By the time we were in the car we were laughing about it. We got home and Cole and Jen were sleeping. So we snuck in and tip-toed like little kids. We got upstairs and i jumped in bed, Matt followed me. "Haha i still have to get dressed in pjs" i said to Matt as i layed my head on his chest. Then i started to get out of bed and he wouldnt let go of my hand, finally i let go and Blew hime a kiss with one hand and my high heels in another. I took a long shower instead, To get all the marriage stuff out of my head. I got out and put on my black short shorts with my blue San Diego Beach tanktop. I went to the bed and there was Matt, wide awake and waiting for me to get in bed. "Why are you still awake?" i said kind of laughing. "I promised i would wait for you" he said. I got into bed, now we were face to face. "Do you think we will get married someday?" i said to Matt. "Yes there is not doubt." He said as he kissed my forehead. A big smile came across my face. I scooted closer to him and kissed him, I ran my hands through his hair. Yeah i am going to grow old with this man.
*MORNING*
I woke up to Matt's hands around my waist. I got up and let Matt sleep. Jen was already awake she was in the baby's room. "Whatcha DOing?" i said smiling in the door frame. ":Ohh just putting all this crap away" she said. "Want me to help?" "If you want too." So i put the diapers in the top drawer. "Soo? How was Date night?" she said. "It was sweet, he took me to this nice resturant" i said. "ohh, thats nice!" Jen said. "and umm... well, we had desert and there ended up being a ring in my desert." "Ohh My GOd!!" Jen said. "Yeah but it wasnt for me they brought it to the wrong table." I said. "Ohh Bumer." "I cant get married yet, haha" i said. "I know haha" she laughed. Then Cole came into the room and gave Jen a kiss, then came over to me and gave me a hug. "So WHat are you doing?" He said. "Just putting the baby's stuff away." Jen said. "Well thats cool." Cole said. "Haha as cool as our shirts?" i said. "Totally he said smiling. Then Jen said, "Your daddy is weird" to her stomach. I started laughing. "Whens your due date again?" i said. "September 26st" she said "thats almost 3 weeks away!" i said " I know im so excited!" "thats good!" i laughed.
*ONE WEEK LATER*
Today Matt and Cole got back to school, no more summer. Jen was miserable by now. She was big, but not too big. "Are you okay?" i said. "Yeah but this baby is a kicker." she said. "2 more weeks." i said. "Yeahh! Im so ready!" "Good!" i laughed. It looked like she would have it early though. The boys got home from school about the same time, around 2 o'clock. "How's your first day of school?" I said to Matt giving him a hug. "School stinks." He said. Then Cole walked in and said, "I hate school." and threw his books on the table. "Are you going to.." Then Cole kissed Jen before she could finish her sentence. "pick up that?" she finished. "Yes I will" he said.
*ONE WEEK LATER*
Jen looked like she wanted to pop. "Pop it out girl!" I said. "I wish." she mumbled. She was going to be an amazing mother.
~Later that night~
We were all sitting in the livingroom, Matt and I on the love seat, Cole and Jen on the big couch. Cole was trying to cuddle with her, she was getting uncomfortable with the baby and everything. They could barely sit together. It was funny, better than tv. We were watching Wreck-It Ralph. We were all laughing really hard. Then Jen got up to go get popcorn, She dropped the popcorn on the counter and clenched her stomach."Are you okay?" i ripped myself out of Matts arms and ran toward her. She set her head on my shoulder and squeezed my hand. "Yeah a contraction." By this time both the boys were huddled around us. "Ready to have Darren or Luke?" Jen said to Cole. Cole was speechless, his face was pure shock. "Cole? Come on." She said grabbing his hand "Ohh, Aubri can you go upstairs and grab that bag in the corner? Its packed for the weekend" she said. I ran upstairs grabbing the bag in the corner. I started running out of the room and Matt scared me, i couldnt even scream cause he scared me so bad. Then he put his hands around my body and kissed me. My instinct was to put my hands around his neck, but we like really had to go. We both ran down the stairs and got in my car. We drove seperate from Cole and Jen because in cause we had to come home and shower. We got to the hospital and put Jen in a wheelchair and she said, "Ooo i have always wanted to ride in this!" Leave it to her to bring the mood up. "Remember 10th grade? We took the wheelchairs from school and rode them in the hallway?" i said laughing. "Ohh yeah! i want to do that again!" she said with a smirk. We brought her up to the desk "Jennifer Kade, 17." Cole said to the nurse. "Yes your room is this way, we will get your information when shes hooked up and everything." We got to the room and the doctor said that her water broke and that this process was going to be a slow one. He told us by the looks of it it would most likely happen tomorrow. So the baby will probably be born on September 21st. But thats pretty far away. Its only 7 oclock at night. 5 hours to day of birth, most likely! Haha, he will be an amazing baby. "So what name do you want to have?" Cole said. "What do you guys think?" she asked Matt and I. "I really like Darren" I said "Me too." Matt said. "Me three" Jen said. "Darren it is then." Cole said. I think Darren is a beautiful name. Every hour they came to see if she has dialated yet. By midnight she was only at 3 1/2. Alot more to go. At midnight Matt and I went home and told Jen to text us when she goes into labor. We went to the house and took showers and slept for 4 hours and straight back to the hospital. This time she was dialated at 7. "3 more to go!" i said as i pulled up a chair close to her and held her hand. "It hurts" she mumbled as she was squeezing my hand. She asked to get an epidural. She got it. "Can you do my hair and make-up?" Jen said. "Yeahh, why?" i said giggling. "The baby needs to see something pretty here" she said with her obivously voice. "Sure" i said. she told me to go in her bag and there should be her makeup and curling iron. There it was. I curled her hair first and did make-up second. She was so happy now. Matt finally got here, he took my car and went to go get starbucks. He got Jen a smothie and Me a nice carmel coffee. "Heres your smothie" Matt said. "Awe thanks" she said. Then Cole finally woke up from his recliner nap. "Hey sleepy-head" Jen said. "Sunshine." i said laughing. He rubbed his eyes and laughed. By this time it was 7:56 am and the doctors were already in here checking her dialation. She was at 10! "I think its time to get ready for delivery." The doctor said. Matt and I went into the waiting room and pretty much waited. The doctors had her in there and 3 pushes and baby Darren was born. Darren Michael Johnson, 6.8 pounds and 19 inches long. He was our family baby pretty much. Darren took Cole's last name Johnson, we joked saying it was Matts last name not Coles just to make Cole laugh. We finally got to go in the room. "Awe Jen" i said walking in the room. "You want to hold him?" she said smiling "Yes please" i said. I held this little piece of joy. He was an amazing gift. "He is so cute" i said to Cole and Jen. "Yeah he gets it from me." Cole said. "Haha you wish!" Jen said. "Hi there, im auntie Aubri." i said to Darren. I gave Darren back to Jen. Matt asked to hold him. I was surprised how gentle he was. Nothing better than seeing boys play with kids. "All that makeup and hair for nothing right?" Jen said. "Ohh it was fun!" I said. "Haha not for me!" she laughed. Beauty hurts, Darren hurts I told her and she laughed.
He was apart of our family now, Whether he likes it or not.
