Oops

It's What?

I rolled over with my hair in a huge bun on the top of my head. Jake made me tea and played Netflix for me. He told his mom that i would need more time and then he left for school again. Jessica knocked at my door.

"Hey sweety."

"Hey Jess." I mumbled through my blanket.

"We should probably schedule a doctors appointment to see your baby?"

"Yeah."

"Do you want to do that today?"

"Sure." and then she left.

Jake knocked at the door and threw what looked like my homework on the desk. He plopped oon the couch and wrapped his arm around me.

"Mom said we have a doc's appointment at 3:00."\

"What time is it."

"3:15."

"Lets go then."

We drove there with Jess i thought it would be appropriate to see her grandkid.

The office was cold and had a chemical tinge to the air. The nurse lead us into a small room that was also very cold.

"Up here." She touched the table.

I climbed onto the table and she moved the bed up to where I could see the screen. She squeezed some jelly on my stomach and hooked up the system. 

"Ok here is the baby's head," she paused."And the baby's other head?"

"What do you mean?"

"Um. You are having twins ma'am."

"Excuse me?"

"Really?" Jake's face lifted into a silly grin that i love.

"Twins. That's impossible!"

"No it's not congrats!" She giggled and kept going through the parts of the baby.

"We want to know the genders if you have them."

"Ok!" She giggled again and looked around."One boy and one girl!"

Jake just kept smiling and laughing and asking stupid questions that only he would ask.
