This one's a little rough on the heart. If you can't handle, um, losing someone, them I highly suggest you skip this one. I nearly broke down while writing this :'(

---

"Harry!" I yelled, trying to keep him from falling over.

"Yes, beautiful?" he slurred, stumbling over his feet.

"Be careful," I told him, leading him out of the bar where we had decided to go for the night, "Let's go home."

"No." he said, alcohol stinking his breath.

He walked groggily into an alley, dragging me behind him. The tips of his fingers dug into my arm.

                "Harry…" I whimpered, “You’re hurting m – “

Suddenly, Harry shoved me against a wall, knocking the breath out of me. I gasped as the rough texture of the wall jabbed my back.

"Don't fucking tell me what do to" he breathed.

"Harry, stop." I said meekly, "Please…"

His green eyes flashed and unfocused.

Then he did what I never thought he'd do in a million years.

                He slapped me.

"Bitch," he spat, glaring at me as tears ran over my stinging, raw cheek

Though my blurry vision, I tried to scramble away from him, but was unsuccessful. Harry caught hold of my arm and twisted, causing pain to shoot up my arm and tears spring into my already watery eyes.

"Get away from me," I choked, backing up out of the reach of the savage that had replaced my once-playful boyfriend.

Harry watched me with flaming eyes as I made it out of the dark alley and took off, running away from the man I once loved.

Harry’s POV

I woke up to a pounding headache. Opening my eyes, I took a look at my surroundings.

I was on the ground, there were two walls on my sides, garbage against the walls… I was in an alley.

What time was it? I was supposed to meet (Y/N) at her house at 10…

                (Y/N)… (Y/N).

I bolted up. The memories of last night came flooding back to me.

I'd hit (Y/N). I didn't mean to. I never meant to hurt her. I would never hurt her… not on purpose.

With difficulty, I got up on my feet and stumbled out of the alley, clutching my head in attempt to stop the headache.

Maybe I'd still have a chance. Maybe she'd forgive me. Or maybe not.

I started to run, widely searching for any sign of her, praying that she hadn't left Cheshire to go back to London where her parents were.

After what seemed like hours of pointless wondering, I started to give up, losing hope.

She's gone, I thought with despair, my knees nearly buckling.

Suddenly, I saw an all-too-familiar flash of (Y/H/C) hair. My heart rate spiked up as I picked up my pace.

"(Y/N)!" I cried out, my voice sounding strangled.

                Big mistake.

I watched as she turned her head towards me, towards the sound of her name. I watched as her eyes filled with hurt and fear – fear of me.

Through the poles of the railroad crossing that divided the two of us, I could tell that her eyes were filling with tears, about to spill out.

"I didn't do it on purpose, (Y/N)!" I shouted, my voice thick, "I didn't know what I was doing!"

"You promised!" she cried. The tone of her voice, showing hurt and betrayal, nearly made me break down right then and there. "You promised you would never hurt me, Harry! You promised…" her voice trailed off.

"I'm sorry," I yelled, advancing forward towards her, "So sorry, (Y/N)! Give me another chance… please…"

                I started running.

Your POV

I froze, not knowing what to do when Harry started to come towards me. Tears streamed freely down my face.

How could I give him another chance? He promised me he would never hurt me. But he did. How could I ever trust him again?

                Ding ding ding ding

The sound of the railway crossing activating broke me out of my miserable thoughts.

I looked at Harry. He was still coming towards me.

                Honk Honk

The train was coming, and it was coming quickly. If Harry didn't stop, he would…

                No.

"HARRY!" I shouted, making my way towards him as fast as I could. "THE TRAIN!"

He didn't hear me over the rattling of the tracks. As he saw me running towards him, his face lit up and he ran faster, thinking I'd forgiven him. He was nearing the tracks, the train almost there.

                NO.

                "STOP, HARRY!" I shrieked.

He took a step onto the tracks and froze, staring at me with a bewildered look in the green eyes.

                HONK HONK

He finally realized what was happening. But it was too late.

"I love you, (Y/N)." He looked at me in the eyes for the last remaining seconds… until the train finally arrived.

"NO!" I sobbed, dropping to my knees as I watched the train come in contact with Harry's body. I saw one last flash of that beautiful mop of curls… and he was gone.

Are you crying right now? Because I am.
