- five minutes before Kayde came -
The light flickered off. A cold, sharp object pressed against my Adam's apple.
"Hey." Priscilla's voice rasped into my ear. Shivers danced down my spine. How the hell did she get here? Five seconds ago, I saw her getting high beside a tree trunk!
"Don't be scared babe." She breathed. It reeked of smoke and beer. I coughed and started to have trouble breathing. It was unfathomably hot and the knife being pressed against his throat wasn't really helping.
Priscilla abruptly pushed me into the wall and shoved her hand up my shirt. I squeezed my eyes shut and tried pushing her away from me, but that only made things worse. She started to nibble on my ears and seductively kiss my chin. As her hands fluttered closer to my waist, I cried for her to stop. I heard the knife clatter to the floor. Her slimy lips slid all over my face as I desperately tried to shove her away. This didn't feel right. Priscilla started to giggle as she pressed her body against mine, making me lose blood circulation "STOP!" I cried. She gasped for breath. I heard loud thuds echoing around us. Priscilla grabbed a fistful of my t-shirt and yanked it off. She kissed me again, her fingers wandering dangerously close to my waist. Just as she began unfastening my belt, someone burst through the door, fluorescent lights pouring into the hot, stuffy closet.

Seeing you snuggled in the arms of another was the most scarring moment of my life. To this day I still can't get that picture out of my head. I mustered up the courage to say "Hello, Danny." But it came out as a cough. I backed away from the closet. "I see you have company. I'm sorry. I didn't know.."
You sat there, mouth open, eyes widened to the size of saucers. Priscilla was still working on your belt and had paid no attention to me. It was like she hadn't even saw me. She was to engrossed in you. I stood there for a moment, watching her fumble with the zipper of your jeans once she finally got the belt off. She seemed uncoordinated. She was probably drunk.
You finally managed to say something. "Kayde." Your eyes lit up when you said my name. Your voice was scratchy and thin from lack of air in that closet. You then came to your senses and realized what Priscilla was doing to you. You kicked her off and scrambled up to your feet. I stepped back and tried to run but my body stood rigid as rock.
"Don't get near me." I spat. You walked towards me. My brain sort of clicked and I dashed down the stairs, avoiding people. Nobody could see me. I bolted out into Priscilla's empty backyard. There was a handsome, wooden fence that surrounded me. I was trapped in. Something cold and wet dripped onto my nose. Rain. "Perfect. " I grumbled.
"KAYDE!" I heard your loud, shaky voice boom through the house. I could imagine the looks people had given you. I even heard someone say, "Kayde's dead you freaky moron!"
I started to panic and tried busting down the fence multiple times, only stopping when I saw that my shoulder was freckled with purple bruises. I heard twigs snapping behind me. "Kayde, it wasn't what it looked like in there." You whispered. I could only shake my head in disgust. But what did I expect? Last time I saw you, you were angrily arguing that Priscilla had done nothing wrong to anybody. Rain started to cloud my vision, making it harder for me to see you. After standing there motionless for a minute or two, I turned around. Before I could, you ran towards me and placed your hands on my shoulders. I winced. You leaned in and pressed your soft lips against mine. Pineapples.

This felt so much better. This felt...right. I didn't want to be gay. But I didn't really have much of a choice. The heart wants what the heart wants.
I don't know how long we stood there in the frigid rain. After what felt like an hour, I finally leaned away. "Nobody can know about us." I heard my self say. And then I leaned back in, feeling the entire zoo erupt in my stomach.
