Our story didn't really have much of an exciting plot. It was somewhat normal to me. It was unfair too. We were due for more forbidding stories of irrevocable love, but it was too late. Our actions had led us to death. The rollercoaster was fun. But every coaster had to stop at one point, right? There's no such thing as an endless rollercoaster. Thanks for the story, Danny.

I woke up with an overwhelming, druggy sensation coursing through my body. My mind flickered awake and my eyes meekly opened. You were lying in the hospital bed beside me, your heart monitor slowly emitting beeps. Plastic tubes snaked inside your body and you were bandaged up like a mummy. The only characteristic that pointed out that it was you laying there peacefully was that a majority of tubes were connected to your neck.
There weren't any doctors in the room. It was just you and me. The atmosphere was uncanny. A deathly feeling crawled around the room but it didn't seem to bother me; My time on Earth was soon coming to an end anyways. I slowly craned my neck around the room searching for anybody watching what I was about to do. When the coast was clear, I yanked a couple of chords from my body and slipped my hospital dress off. A cold chill greeted my bare skin. I climbed down my bed, a strong stab of pain tugging at my right arm. I shook it off.
I tried to stand up and walk towards your bed but my legs failed me. My knees crashed onto the floor with a sickening crack. Tears welled up in my eyes but I bit them back. I crawled towards you, my pace matching the rhythm of the heart monitor. I was soon inches away from your fragile, freckled face. Without thinking, I firmly pressed my cold lips onto yours for what seemed like eons. After I ran out of breath, I used the last second of my life to mumble, "I love you Danny. " My head collapsed onto your chest and my conscious spiraled down the permanent tunnel of death.
