I walked out of the school with Ashlee, Cassidy, and Madi, whom i just had meet.

She's a very nice girl who loves basketball.

Walking out, I notice a sign above the door.

VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS TOMORROW. COME IF YOU ARE COMPETITIVE AND HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOR AT LEAST 10 YEARS.

Cassidy saw me looking at the poster.

"So you play volleyball?" she asked me.

"Yeah," I sighed, "I probably won't even make it because I had some knee problem so I couldn't play for a while."

"Oh, that sucks," she replies, looking at me, "you better now?"

I smile and nod while walking out of the school.

It was warm outside, mostly because it's the middle of August. The wind blew across my face as I padded my way to where the girls were talking to Ashton, Michael, and Calum.

My heart does a little dip looking at Ashton. I shake it off and walk towards them.

"What up girl," Calum says giving me a high five.

"I'm good, Calum. How about yourself?" I giggle

"You guys literally just met and now you're flirting?" a deep voice comes from behind me.

I turn around and my eyes met a pair of piercing blue eyes. Speak of the devil.

I roll my eyes and Ashton pipes up.

"Jealous much?" he grins at Luke.

After 5 minutes of waiting for my parents and talking about sports tryouts, I hear someone call out my name.

Finally, Dad. It took forever.

I walk over to the car and as soon as I open the door, Lacey jumps out and on to me.

"Lacey!" I yell trying to get her back into the car. I can sense that everyone's looking at me.

Lacey doesn't listen and she runs off to my new friend group.

"LACEY!" my father yells, unbuckling his seatbelt.

"Hold up dad I got it," I tell him chasing after Lacey.

By the time I get to my friends, I see Luke holding Lacey from her collar.

"Thanks, Luke," I sigh smiling at him.

"No problem," he winks at me, "anything for a beautiful girl like yourself."

I blush and mutter thanks and walk towards the car.

Today was the worst. first. day. of. my. life.
