Maybe one day we'll be at peace.
Maybe one day, when we're older, laughter will replace where yelling and fighting did before.
Where the only tears shed are those of happiness.
Where I can hold your hand and not be scared someone might see.
When we don't have to live in the dark any longer.
And I can kiss you whenever I please.
Wouldn't that be something?
Maybe one day, maybe not tomorrow, or the day after that, but someday, we don't have to love each other in secret.
Where old scars fade and have no reason to return.
And I don't have to wish I could be with you.
I can wake up in the morning and see your face on the pillow next to mine.
Where we are happy
And nothing but.
And when that day comes I want you to be able to see it.
I couldn't do it alone.
You are my universe, my sun, my entire world.
I couldn't do it without you.
There will be a day where you don't hurt anymore.
I want you to see that day.
It might not be tomorrow, or the day after that but you will be happy
And you shouldn't have to see that day alone.
I won't leave you.
I promise.
I love you.
