8. Misa's captured?!

(Koga's view)

I was so mad at Ayame. Hitting Misa like that was uncalled for plus it's against demon law to ever harm the priestess. Cause of my stupidity I got badly hurt and Misa had to use her power and blood to save me but the way her lips felt against mine felt so right. They were so soft and warm and I have to admit her blood tasted good but I never want her to do that again. I love her too much for her to risk her life to save mine. I do remember the promise I made to Ayame but I can't keep it not after what she did. I want to be the one to keep Misa safe while she can't use her powers. I just Naraku doesn't figure it out. If he does then he will try to make her bare a pup for him and I won't have that. I know he wants her cause Misa told me all about what happened when that mutt broke through the barrier. As we left the western tribe I held onto Misa as we ran but I had to ask her if she would stick with me and stay by my side especially when I go up north. Kagome and the others said they would tag along though I want to do this alone with her but I let them since I might need the mutt's help. I carry her on my back as we walk. I can feel her breathing on my neck a she sleeps and smell her scent. It's intoxicating but calming at the same time. We stop in a village that is demon friendly and I watch that monk try to fool the villagers into letting them stay a night for free and it doesn't work. One of the villagers look at Misa who is sleeping on my back and ask who she is. "She is the priestess of demons" I tell them. "Why is she sleeping though?" One asks so I tell them "Shes just weakened from a fight and needs to rest and  recover her powers." Humans are strange but at least we have a place to stay for a few days while Misa recovers. We walk into the place they are letting us stay in and I set her down gently with the help of the demon slayer since I don't trust the monk and I won't let that mutt touch her.

I was happy that Koga chose Misa. She really loves him and he loves her. I sit next to Inuyasha and look at Misa hoping she is alright. It was a bold thing she did for Koga. Inuyasha seems mad about it cause he really want to get the shards from Koga's legs. We've been finding the shards a lot faster thanks to Misa's help. It's kinda funny, anyone that gets near Misa Koga growls at them. I keep laughing every time it happens. Inuyasha looks at me funny "Why are you laughing Kagome?" "Watch what happens when someone gets near Misa." He looks over and watches one of the villagers get near Misa to try to help her. Koga bares his fangs and growls at them and they go running off. "Hahaha over protective much wolf?" Inuyasha laughs. Koga growls at him "shut up mutt. You'll understand it when you get a mate. So until then don't speak about the way I act." I see Inuyasha just blow it off. Pretty soon the villagers come in with a feast to celebrate Misa. She's really famous with demons and humans. When she chose to stay here I was upset about it, so was mom, gramps, and Sota but we respected her choice. I start to relax after the meal when suddenly Inuyasha jumps up growling. "What's the matter?" I ask but he just runs outside so we follow him. Once outside we see Kagura jumping down from her feather. "What the hell are you doing here Kagura." Inuyasha growls. She laughs and says "I'm here for the priestess. Since she is weakened and can't fight back Naraku thought it would be a good idea to have her now." I stare at her in shock but I draw an arrow into my bow and yell at her "The likes of Naraku will never lay a hand on my sister. We won't let you take her." Koga growls at her "he will not take my mate from me. Misa is my woman and I won't let Naraku have her." She just laughs at me and pulls a feather from her hair then jumps onto it and tells us "oh but we already have her." When that said she flies off, a demon with Misa follows behind her.

I couldn't see straight when I heard Kagura say those words and I left the fox with Misa to go fight her. When Kagome said those words I smiled. I shouted out that Misa was my mate which left a warm feeling in me. If she was awake she would have loved to hear those words. The mutt held me back when I saw Kagura fly off with Misa. "Argh! Let me go mutt! We need to save her!" I shouted. I wasn't going to let Kagura go off with my woman. "Shut up and listen for a second you scrawny wolf!" He yelled at me "what use are you right now in your state from almost dying!" I stop to think about it for a second I hate to admit it but he's right. If I went off now while recovering my strength I would die for certain. "Then what should we do mutt. She has no powers to defend herself with and I don't want Naraku to claim what is mine." I say. His ears go down a bit. Of coarse he doesn't have a plan. He rushes in without thinking first. The monk speaks up "Sango and I will go after Kagura in the air while you and Inuyasha follow on the ground. I can't use my wind tunnel around Kagura cause of those insects but Sango can throw her Hiraikotsu at the demon that has Misa and one of you can catch her." That sounds like a plan so we go with it. The bad thing is that I have to run next to the mutt and can't run at full speed. But to save her I'll do anything.
