*ISABEL*

When I woke up, it took me a few minutes to realise where I was. "Ooooh my gawd." I sat up hurriedly, pulling the sheets around me. Cole blinked from his position next to me, moaning in morning-talk. Something about lack of sheets, but I really didn't care. I needed to get out of here. Before he pulls the get-out-of-jail-free card on me.

I sneak out of the bed, and look at myself in the mirror. And, it's official. I look like something that was dragged through a briar bush, bashed until unconscious and left in a pile of shit. My hair's a mess, my eyes are surrounded with purple rings, and the sweatpants and baggy t-shirt Cole found me didn't really add much to the look.

Groaning, I pulled myself into the shower, hot water full blast. I lathered myself up furiously with the soap, as if the bubbles would wash away any memory of last night.

And, go figure, all the towels had decided to disappear on me. Hearing noises from the kettle downstairs, I decided to take a chance. Wrapping myself up in the shower curtain, I poked my head out the door. "Cole! Coooole? Can you bring me a towel, please?"

"Why? Isn't there ones in there?"

"Nooo!" I yell. I know he's playing games, making me suffer. Asshole. "Stop fooling around Cole! I need a towel to dry off before I get dressed. Because you know, some people wouldn't like to walk around naked the whole day."

"I wouldn't mind if you did." The whisper came from behind the door that I'd closed at some point. I opened it, accidentally dropping the curtain an inch. "SHIT, COLE!" Of course he was standing right there, enjoying every single pervy second.

"GET OUT! GET OOOOUUUT!" His face was sarcastically sheepish. "But I brought you a towel." He said, bowing mockingly. Whipping it from his hand, I glowered. "Stay the fuck away from me, you hear?" He backed off, confused. "But-"

"Last night meant nothing. Nothing, you hear me Cole St. Clair? You know what? Go. Just. Go." He walked off, pissed. Served him right. I'm stopping any chance of 'us' before he breaks my heart. Even if it takes me breaking it to do it.

Hey darling. Sorry I had to leave early, the studio said they wanted another recording today. I made coffee, if you want some. It's on the kitchen bench. xoxo

I dropped the phone back onto the nightstand with several tired-complaint-noises. Stupid studio, they should leave him alone once in a while. Ever since his first album came out, his music had been in huge demand. We had given up the idea of college after that, and settled for an easy life at home. But not quite, because all of a sudden, Isabel returned to Mercy Falls, and for undivulged reasons. I hadn't asked: no point in it. If she wanted to talk, she would. I'd she wanted it to stay a secret nobody would ever find out.

Ok then. Hope you can survive the workload. I'll be at home all day, so call when you can alright? Love you. xoxo

PS. I don't think I would have survived without the coffee. So extra rewards for that too. xxx

When I had finished the mug of lukewarm caffine Sam had left for me, I trudged over to the spare bedroom. "Isabel, wake up, I made baco-" The room was empty. Midnight breakout? Oh well. She'll come home eventually. Probably spent the night at Beck's- uh, Cole's house.

From: Grace

Hey Isabel, are you ok? Spend the night at Cole's? ;) It's ok, I won't tell if you did. But please answer ASAP. Sam's at work, but I'm home so I can let you in. If you don't have a car or just need a lift home anyway give me a bell. So, see you later I guess. Bye
