" Babe ,wake up ... " I said in Jerome's ear.
Can you guys believe it's been 17 years ? ... I can't even believe we made it this far honestly...
As of now I am 43 years old & still look fabulous 😬, Jerome is 46 years old & ugly 😿.... sike! My husband is the most finest man on earth in my eyes ❤
" Mom-- what are you doing ? " Our 17 year old daughter came into our room asking.
" Well, your father won't wake up... he's playing, I saw him smile. " I said, he smiled again, but still didn't open his eyes.
" Alright, none for you tonight I guess.. " I threatened while getting off of the bed.
He hurriedly grabbed my waist and pulled me back.
" You tripping on fo'nem " I looked at him confused .
What the hell is a fo'nem ?
" Whatever, but Jabari is visiting today ! Oh my god, I miss my baby so much.. " I said getting emotional.
Jabari is 19 now & looks exactly like Jerome, none of me what so ever :((((
Jabari went on to college two years ago, he graduated early & wanted to go straight ahead to college, he is majoring in business, he wants to own his own shoe store & alot more places.
" Girl, hush..." a voice said from the door. I turned around & there was my son !
" Babyboy ! Your here ! Mama missed you so much ! " I went & hugged him so tight, I missed my baby so much, you guys just do not understand.
" I missed you to mama, I miss all of yall! " Jabari said.
" Yea, nigga they missed you too." Jerome said, so rude .
" You know you missed me pops, Stop frontin. " Jabari went & hopped on the bed beside Jerome.
" Yea, I did a lil bit... but, I like fucking ya mama around the house, only when Armani cockblocking ass gone somewhere." Jerome said.
I hopped on him so fast, he literally has no filter !
" That's digusting pops, we ain't wanna here all that! " Mani said, Jabari & Jerome laughed .
" Come on Mani, let's get dinner started." I said while walking out the room with Armani behind me.
" Soooo, what we cooking ma ? " Armani asked while washing her hands.
" Well, I wanted to make... smothered pork chops, macaroni & cheese, collard greens, cabbage, cornbread, with a desert of peach cobbler ." I said.
" Oh my god, mommy that sounds so good ! " Mani groaned, I laughed.
" Come on girl, get to cooking ! " I said.
5 hours later-
" Food is done, come eat ! " Armani yelled to the boys.
How can they play a game for 5 Hours straight ... no, can't be me ..
I heard large foot steps running down my stairs.
I just laughed & set plates down.
" Get in a circle around the food & say grace. " I told them.
Everyone got into a circle & Jerome start praying.
" Father god we come to you today to bless this food that we are about to eat father god, bless this family father god, thank you for bringing us together again father god, thank you for looking over Jabari as he traveled here father god, thank you for blessing thus family with the blessings you gave us father god, and the name we pray, amen." Jerome finished, I just smiled at him.
" Amen. "

After everybody finished eating we all just went into the family movie theater.
" I get the green bean bag chair! " Armani yelled out while running to it, Jabari pushed her to the floor & Sat there.
He so lucky this floor is soft carpet, cause Armani would have murdered him ....
" Dummy head " Armani said as she sat in the pink bean bag chair.
Jabari just smiled, like he accomplished something .
I grabbed the tablet & scrolled through the movie list.
" What movie do you guys wanna watch ? " I asked my children & wife.
" Let's watch straight outta compton! " Jabari & Armani yelled at the same time.
Amari layed her head on my chest, I already know she is about to fall asleep during the movie.
I clicked on straight outta compton, the lights went down & the movie started.
As the movie was going on, I Looked around & looked at everything I accomplished. I have my my wonderful wife, my beautiful kids, a wonderful business, I got something tat I always wanted .... a family of my own.
" Thank you lord "
