Chapter 8

(Tanja's POV)

In the next morning they leave early to see their boyfriends again. Not without giving me advices for my date with Jay today, though. We agree upon my outfit and they tell me a bit about him, too.

"Bye, hun. Call us afterwards. I want to know anything!" Eva smirks and waves me a goodbye.

The door shuts and as soon as I'm alone again I'm getting excited and nervous as well when I think of tonight. Not that I'm not happy, no, I just want it to go well. Before this subject drives me round the belt I call my mum to talk to her about the news.

(Jay's POV)

"You shouldn't wear that, mate." Nathan lingers into my room, pointing to the clothes I laid on my bed. They 're supposed to be the outfit for my date this evening but apparently they're not a good choice.

I turn around from the mirror in front of which I'm shaving my beard. "What do you suggest? Help me." I whimper.

Nathan walks over to my wardrobe, opens it and searches for alternative clothes instead. I return to shaving. "So what are you going to do?" He asks pulling out a white shirt, frowns and puts it back onto the pile.

"First, I'll take her to our favourite Italian restaurant and then, if she wants to, I'll be her personal guide who shows her the town. Any other ideas?" I ask him because I'm not used to date and Nathan is the most empathetic guy of the band. He's good to talk to if it comes to girls or someone has an argument etc and he always knows an answer and tells you what to do.

Nathan shakes his head. "Nope, it's alright." He pulls out a new blue shirt which is not too fancy and not too casually for a date. Then he sits down on my bead and thumbs through an already well-thumbed book about the special features in the movie 'Avatar'. He wags his head and murmurs "Geek..." as he lays it back down onto my bedside table.

A buzzing sound emerges and Nath pulls his phone out of the pocket of his pants to check the message. Lifting his head he says: "It's Tom. They're going to go clubbing tonight. He wants me to tell you. Waaiit...Jay, seriously? You've lost your phone AGAIN?" I shrug my shoulders, smiling sheepishly. Nath laughs in disbelieff before he starts to type a message. "They don't know about the date, yet. Shall I tell him that you're not coming?"

"I'll ask Tanja after we had dinner. She can decide if we'll be joining in or not."

"Hmm yeah, just be careful that it won't turn into a friends-date, you know what I mean?" Nath knits his brows.

"You're just jealous that you're not allowed to drink and join us, Baby Nath!" I laugh.

"Fair enough, mate!" Nath shouts, grabs a pillow and throws it into my direction. It barely misses my head so I bend down to pick it up from the floor and throw it right back into his face.

(Tanja's POV)

6 o'clock. I can't contain my excitement and I instantly walk in circles through my whole flat to not lose my mind. I correct a crooked picture on the wall and pass the mirror again to check my make-up and outfit. Everything's looking good. I have a look into my purse to see if I forgot something important but everything's there. The doorbell saves me from running around like a mental person. I nearly jump to the door to open it for Jay. And there he is, looking really close to perfectly. His curls are fixed on one side of his temple so they're not constanly falling loose into his forehead.

"You look beautiful, Tanja." He smiles in an approving way after he glanced from my shoes up to my straightened hair. He extends his elbow for me to link arms with him.
