{Levi Ackerman x Reader}[Attack on Titan] Childhood

"Hey..Levi, remember how we first met?" You asked him while clutching to his arm

" Tch, of course, that was the day i met the love of my life, i'm not like those forgetful brats who forgets to get groceries." He snickered as he flicked your nose lightly, receiving a playful cringe from you.

It was the first day if kindergarten and you were scared as hell. The moment you stepped into the room makes you want to go home. The sight of your parents leaving you all alone with strangers was just frightening, the people from your age, the crying, the screaming, it was just like a nightmare. The moment you stepped in your eyes started to water, your sight blurred out from the waters on the verge of your eyes and the fear conquering you. You cried as loud as you could, hoping your parents would turn around and bring you back home.

Someone hugged you. You wiped away your tears and turned around, just to see an adult with her arms around you, rubbing circles on your back, trying to comfort you, whispering kind words into your ears, and helping you wipe off your tears. Knowing that your parents were not leaving you forever, you calmed down and with the help of the kind lady, you sat down at one of the colorful tables with a few other children at your age, some drawing pictures with crayons, some playing with the clay placed at the center of the table, but there was one child, whom seemed quite distant, he was quiet, he just sat there watching others play, as if he was observing something.

You noticed the name-tag on his shirt, it spelled "L-E-V-I", you were not sure how to pronounce it, as you tried by mimicking the vowels with your mouth.

"Lee-vI", "Le-vy", "wee-vi"...?

You silently read his name inside, not awaring that your mouth was actually moving. Levi looked at you, in fact, he stared at you and your odd actions.

"It's Levi" he finally spoke.

Despite the noises made from the other kids, all you can hear was his voice. It was calm, it was peaceful. It was like all the world has left was the both of you.

You blinked at him blankly and repeated his name. His expressions stayed the same as he read out your name.

"(Y/n)?" He said after a few attempts of pronouncing it.

You nodded as a yes and smiled at him.

He looked away as a slight blush appeared on his face.

"(Y/n), what a nice name." He commented while avoiding your eyes.

You felt a slight heat spread across your face.

You held out your hands to grab a toy from the toy box and handed it to Levi.

"Thanks.." He muttered

"Why don't we play together?" You suggested as you walked to his side. He stood up and the both of you went to a corner and started playing with the toy pony.

The bell rang as the teacher announced that it was playtime.

The both of you ran out to the green grassy land and played tag along with some other children. One of them was slightly bigger compared to the others, he was the tag. He ran after you and pushed you down accidentally. Your face landed straight to the ground. It was painful. It Was dreadfully painful. Levi was the first to come check on you. Seeing tears, he immediately helped you up and glared at the boy who accidentally knocked you off. Under his help, you arrived at the infirmary in no time, with caring nurses helping you with your injures.

It wasn't long after your check ups at the infirmary, you were just fine.

You went back out to the grassy field only to find Levi missing from the crowd of children. You looked around searching for his presence only to find him next to the boy who hurt you in front of the teacher. You walked close enough to overhear the conversation.

It was Levi who punched the boy for hurting you.

After the lectured were done. You walked over to Levi, finding his cheekbone purple. With the same expression, he avoided eye contact with you.

"I only want to protect you, (y/n)" as Levi planted a small kiss on your cheeks.

It was years after that incident, perhaps decades past. From kindergarten to primary and all the way to adulthood, he was loyal to you through al these years, only to be finally engaged with you and married. Now you are pregnant with his child, life couldn't be more fulfilling than this.
