A normal day for you, as a police officer, living in the year 1974. Investigating about a brutal series of continuos murder around District number nine in your city. Searching for similar cases in the main office, you came across a strange file with stamps on it.

"Top secret, 1874" it says.

You couldn't care less, there's no way for you to give up a chance to actually find out what happened during the year 1874, one century behind, at least that was your main objective that motivates you to join this department.

A series of similar murder happened in year 1874, and the most famous detective of that time, L Lawliet was the one who solved this mysterious case, however most of his information were kept in secret to the public, and the only way to get to know this person's detail was through the police investigating department, you've spent years training just to get in here, how could you let this chance slip away?

"(Y/n) what are you looking at?" Your colleague Misa asked.

"Oh, just searching for some similar cases, perhaps we could find out ways to solve this case, Misa-chan.."

"Oh alright, then um.. Take your time!!" Misa went out of the file room, leaving you all alone with the file.

A headache. A wave of dizziness swirled around you as you opened the file. Why?

You wondered, you opened the file anyways.

L Lawliet.

You read the name, another wave of dizziness took over your sense once again.

"Let's go together." A voice from nowhere said, tone slightly blurred

"Huh?"

"1874." The voice simply said.

Confused, you put the file into your bag and brought it home.

Fatigued from the series of event that happened today, you laid down on your comfy bed to take a rest, thinking about the voices you heard earlier. 1874? Let's... Go together..? What are these even suppose to mean? You closed your eyes, hoping that everything you heard earlier were just illusion or mind tricks that your brain had decided to play with you.

"I love you, (y/n), remember our promise? I've been waiting for you."

Gasping from the dream you shot up immediately, sweating. It's that voice...isn't it strange? It was so unfamiliar yet nostalgic....

You got the files and started to read it over again, trying to forget those things you've encountered just now.

Bump.

Your surroundings started to fade into darkness.

1874, we promised that day right? Even if we were not born into that country of peace, even if we were born into that land of war, i would hold your hand and run through the dark nights, never letting you go until death does us apart... I've been waiting for you.... It's been a century... I didn't get to meet you alive... Did i went to the wrong year?

A faint smile appeared on your face.

Sorry for keeping you waiting for such a long time...

I've came back.

A pool of blood drained out from your body, staining your carpet, staining the papers, the culprit leaving a footprint at the scene, having successfully to silence everyone who tried to investigate this case.
