Heading out

A/N: Hi this is going to be out as quick as I can physically produce it. Ok lies I procrastinate so much and it deleted itself about twice. Anyway enjoy the chapter :). Just so you know this is a few weeks since they became official Genin. Take it away guys.

Sachiko's POV

When you think of Ninja missions what do you think of? Extravagant battles, passing on top secret information?

From this day forth I will think of chasing a small, ginger kitten through a forest... As this is what we are currently doing. We are hiding behind trees; I never thought I would have to use a sneak attack on a cat. Touka, the designated leader for the mission, was behind the tree in front of me. Honoro was behind the tree to the left of me. We waited for the cat to get comfortable before we attacked.

Touka finally gave her hand signal and we sprung into action.

Touka ran behind the cat and me and Honoro ran in front of it so we're in a triangle around it.

The cat was stunned for a moment before Touka reached out and grabbed it at the stomach. It started clawing around before relaxing in defeat.

We heard clapping. I turned around 'Sasuke-Sensei'

He smiled 'I'm impressed Touka, you lead well'

Touka blushed before returning to what I guess is the famous Uchiha Facade 'thank you father'

He nodded 'go hand the cat in I'll see you there' with that he left us alone... with the cat

Touka sighed and started walking 'come on'

Honoro walked next to her. I walked the other side of her 'well done Touka'

She ignored me and walked in front of us both.

Honoro rolled his eyes and whispered to me 'Don't take it personally. Normal Uchihas have this Facade. Honestly it's annoying'

We dropped the cat off to an overly enthusiastic child and their mother and turned to dad at the desk he was sitting at. He sighed 'We'll just have to wait for Sasuke. I don't think I should repeat myself because he's late. Don't you?'

Honoro and Touka nodded and said 'Yes Hokage-sama!' in perfect unison. How I do not know but it seemed practiced. Why would that be an immediate response? And at that my brain did its usual thing of going on a tangent about a single thought.

I was on the topic of ants and its armies and jobs, don't even ask how, when we heard the door open. 'I apologise Hokage-sama. I had some errands to run' Sasuke-sensei walked over to the desk dad was sitting at.

'That's alright Sasuke' dads tone and expression made it seem not alright. 'Anyway your mission is to deliver a scroll to the village hidden in the sound'

'Umm sorry but I have never heard of a village hidden in the sound' I raise my hand as I say this. The other people in the room stare at me. Dad speaks up after a long silence 'We aren't the only ninja village. There are quite a few, for example the village hidden in the sand, or the village hidden in the mist.'

I nod 'but those titles make sense how do you become hidden in sound?'

Sasuke sighed 'The person who founded the village wasn't exactly sane. Anyway Honoro you are the leader, Sachiko you keep the scroll and Touka you be the strategist'

Honoro smiled 'You can trust me sensei'

Dad smiled 'Sasuke you intervene if something goes wrong'

Sasuke nodded 'Of course Hokage-Sama.' He turned to face us 'Meet me at the gates in an hour with supplies for a week possibly two' we nod and walk out the door. As soon as we did Honoro cheered. Touka then hit him upside the head. 'Idiot Hokage-Sama can still hear us. The walls are very thin'

He sighed and rolled his eyes 'Sorry your majesty.'

Touka smirked 'I'm glad you realise your true position beneath me, now go get me some royal milk tea'

Honoro shook his head 'Royal milk tea?'

Touka smiled 'tea that has the milk brewed instead of water'

I sighed 'can you guys stop arguing. We actually have something to do'

Touka tilted her head 'We weren't arguing. I was just sassing him'

Honoro smiled 'how aren't you used to it by now?'

I shook my head and smiled. Touka started walking off 'come on we don't want to be late for dad'

'That's debatable'

'Ok me and Sachiko don't want to be late for dad'

I laugh 'I'm going to head off see you later' I walked off. I'm leaving the village for the first time since I got into this dimension. I can't wait to see the rest of the continent.

About an hour later we met up at the gates. All of us apart from Honoro were there. 'Why does he always have to be late?' Touka started to walk back and forth. 'He always holds us up!'

Sasuke sensei sighed 'His parents are the same.' just then we heard footsteps come from inside the village. 'Sorry I'm so late!' Honoro came dashing towards us looking rather out of breath. 'I just saw-'

Touka cut him off 'Shut up idiot. We need to head off.'

Sasuke-sensei nodded 'don't make being late a habit Honoro.' He shot Honoro a death glare. Honoro simply nodded looking somewhat terrified. We all turned to face the gates once more. Sasuke-sensei took a step out of the village. We followed closely behind him.

When we got out the village me and Honoro ran in front of Sasuke and Touka in excitement. 'Woo. I've finally left the village' Honoro fist pumped the air.

Touka sighs 'You say that like you aren't going back.'

I started laughing 'Of course we want to go back eventually Touka but it's nice to be out the walls'

Touka face palmed 'I didn't think you'd agree with him Sachiko'

I just smiled broadly back at her and looked out on the path ahead.

This should be fun. It's definitely going to be an adventure. As we walk down the path me, Honoro and Touka walk in a line behind Sasuke-sensei. I think just how much my outlook on this place has changed. I actually like it here now.

Or at least I finally went mad.
