Everyone else had gone home already. It was just Connor and Troye.

Walking to the room where detention was being held, Troye couldn't stop worrying. He bit his lip roughly, thinking, 'Oh god, what will my parents say when they find out I have a detention? This is totally going to prevent me from getting into a good college. My parents are totally going to kill me.'

He continued on walking, not realizing he just passed by the room as he was so lost in his thoughts.

Connor snapped him out of his thoughts when he said, "Where are you going? The room is this way," Connor says, standing in front of the door.

His face brightened red as he turned around.

"Right," Troye says quietly, walking to the door and into the classroom.

"Troye, over there. Connor, over there," Ms. Jackson said, pointing to two seats on opposite ends of the rooms. "Now, I have to go to the teacher's lounge. It shouldn't take me long. Do not move."

She walked out of the classroom with that. As soon as the door clicked shut, Connor got up and walked over to Troye.

"Connah!" Troye said. "She said not to move."

Connor rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "Oh, come on. I've been in detention before. She goes to the teacher's lounge and comes back about an hour later and then lets us go. We've got about an hour in here without her. We're okay."

Troye nodded. "I'm sorry, Connah."

God the way he says my name... You know what fuck the rules of the bet. I'm in love with him. Madly. Connor thinks to himself.

"Why are you sorry?" He asks, his green eyes meeting Troye's big blue ones.

Troye was silent for a minute, just lost in the beautiful orbs of green that were Connor's gorgeous eyes. "Because I feel like if I keep acting the way I am, you'll hate me. So I'm apologizing."

"How are you acting?" Connor's slightly confused, and he tilts his head a bit, still making eye contact with Troye.

He thought for a minute, trying to find the right word.

"I don't know... Like I'm a perfect fucking child, or something like that. Someone who never gets in trouble," Troye said, shrugging. Connor tilted his head upright again.

"No need to be sorry. I had a few people in my detentions that were like you," Connor says. "It's totally normal." Is Troye changing me or something? Because before I met him I was this cold-hearted person who found enjoyment in making others suffer when I broke their heart. Before I met him, I was so rude... "Badass," I used to call it. It's like I've changed because of him, not that that's bad.

Connor hadn't realized he was staring into Troye's eyes that whole time until he finally snapped out of it.

"Sorry," Connor said, biting his lip.

"Why are you sorry?" Troye asked. This was nearly a loop of their previous conversation.

"Because I was staring into your eyes," Connor said, although slightly unsure of his answer.

"So?"

"I don't know. But I do know that your eyes are fucking gorgeous. They're so blue. So... Suffocatingly beautiful," Connor said. Troye blushed a bright red. "Just like you."

Troye flushed a darker shade of red, before Connor leaned in, kissing Troye. Connor's hand reached up to cup his cheek.

This. Was. Perfect.

Connor pulled away for a second.

"You're totally okay with this, right?" Connor asked, biting his lip gently. Troye nodded.

"Troye, is it too soon yet to ask you something?"

Troye paused for a minute. "It depends what that 'something' is."

"Well, uhm..." Connor trailed off for a second. "Troye, I really like you. Will you be my boyfriend?"

Troye grinned. "Of course."

And then Connor slammed his lips onto Troye's once more.

When Ms. Jackson comes back in, Connor is back in his original seat, and they pretend nothing just happened.

Ms. Jackson looked like she was in a rush.

"You two may leave," she says, before grabbing her own things and exiting. Connor and Troye exchange looks.

When she's finally out of earshot, they burst into a fit of giggles.

"Well I wonder what that was all about," Connor said. Troye grabbed his bag, putting it over his shoulders.

See? Everything seems to work out in the end, Troye thought to himself. Him and Connor walked out of the room together, talking and walking home.
