Newt's pov,
I wake up in a large metal box. I try to stand but only to fall over because of the dizziness that swims in my head. My breath is ragged and fast, I'm panting and sweating. Pain shoots through my head as the cart rocks back and forth, making me wanna be sick. I lean over to hurl but nothing comes out. My vision goes blurry and its like a haze, as if everything was blurred. I try to rack my memory in search of finding out something about why I'm in a bloody box, but nothing. I can't remember anything. Nothing.
I try to say something but my throat is raw and dry. Suddenly it stops. The cart stops going up, yet continues to sway. Large metal like doors open, the sound is excruciatingly loud and sounds like metal being scrapped on concrete. I cover my ears in hopes for the god awful noise to stop or go away, but it doesn't help. The sun shines brightly in the box and my eyes burn, shading my eyes, I look up to find a few boys.
I see a dark skinned boy step forward and hold his hand out to me, I take it and he tosses a rope down, pulling me up. I stumble a bit but catch myself as I look around. We're surrounded by large concrete walls, thousands of feet high, with openings as long as the walls itself.
"Where am I?" I croak out, surprised to see that I have an accent.
"It's a one way trip Greenie" an Asian boy says looking at me skeptically.
"He's weird looking" a guy with blond hair and weird eyebrows says.
"Shut your hole Gally" the dark skinned boy says.
"Day one Greenie. Rise and Shine" the guy with the eyebrows says.
"Welcome to the Glade." the dark skinned boy says.
"I'm Alby. This is Gally. Minho. and Frypan" he says pointing to all the people, I nod silently.
"What's your name boy?" Alby asks.
"Newt." I say and he looks at me puzzled.
"Who the shuck names their child Newt? Like what..." Gally says and I glare at him.
"You live by my rules, or I'll put you out there. You get me?" Alby asks and I nod.
