Hello!

My name is Danny Jones,I'm 17 years old and I live in North Dakota with my mom and our cat, Felix.

"Danny,I have some exciting news to tell you" my mother said with a huge smile on her face as she came in my room.

My mother always has some "exciting news" to tell,from cat food being half price to new neighbours,everything is exciting to her.

"So,you know how me and Scott have been dating for about a year now right?" my mother said showing her pearly white teeth.

"Yeah?" I said.

"Well,he proposed to me!" my mother basically yelled.

"Oh my gosh mom!! I'm so happy for you!" I yelled just as kid back at her before standing up and giving her a big hug.

"I know!,oh Danny,I haven't been this happy in years" my mother said.

"But,Danny there's something else I need to tell you" she said as the big smile on her face faded a little.

"Okay" I dragged on a bit.

"Okay well,we are moving in with Scott" my mom said.

My heart sank,Scott lives 4 hours away from here and that'll mean,a new school and I'll lose all my friends.

"Mom,Scott lives 4 hours away from here! I am not losing my friends,can't he just move in here? I mean it'll just be him right??" I said as my eyes began to tear up a bit at the thought of leaving all my very close friends.

"Danny,you don't understand,the place we have here isn't anywhere near as nice as Scotts place,also his house is near my where I work so it'll be perfect" my mother said.

"Yeah,perfect for you" I said softly as I looked down.

My mother lifted my chin up before placing a soft kiss in my cheek.
"Danny you know I love you,it'll be a fresh start for you,you'll meet new friends and it'll be great,and it's not like we'll be moving across the world,we can come visit every other weekend" my mom said.

I thought about it for a second and I guess she was right,we'll just be moving 4 hours away,once I get my drivers license I can come visit my close friends Gemma,Cameron,Louis and Niall all the time,I think moving to a different city would be great for me.

"Your right,it's not that far anyways" I said.

A huge smile crept up on my moms face.

"See Danny,trust me,you'll love it there" she said joyfully.

"When will we be moving there anyways?" I asked.

"Next week" she said.

Next week! are you serious.

"So you better start packing up your things soon hun"

"Hey mom,why does Scott have such a big house when he lives alone?" I asked very curious.

My mother eyes went big before she let out a sigh.

"Oh..he has a um son" my mother said nervously knowing that I would be upset.I've always been the only child in the house and if I were to have a sibling the last thing I'll want is a brother.

"Are you being foreal? did it not cross your mind to tell me that I will be having a step brother?!" I said angrily.

"Danny I'm sorry okay? I was gonna tell you about him but things just got in the way" she said.

"He's the same age as you too" my mother said as if that'll make it any better.Living with a teenage boy.Great.

"His name is Luke"

OKAYYY,so that was just a pilot the story will really begin in the next chapter.and the the girl
above is Danny.
