"How come you found yourself so far from home?" Arthur asked me as we walked along the courtyard heading back to Arthur's room. "Just a family accident." I lied I didn't want anyone to know who I really was. "What happened?" Arthur questioned. "I don't really want to say." I replied looking at the ground falling beneath my feet.
When we got back to his room gwen was waiting for us. "Gwen this is your new roommate, Laura." Arthur introduced me. "Hello." I said shyly smiling at Gwen. "Hello." She replied smiling back at me. She looked nice. "It's getting late maybe you two should get going" Arthur said smiling. Gwen nodded and gestured for me to follow her. "See you tomorrow Laura." Arthur said. "Yeah see you tomorrow" I replied smiling.
Gwen and I were walking back to her house. We walked by the tavern, someone grabbed my wrist, I let out a Yelp as the person put a blade to my throat. Gwen turned around and she looked at me as though I were helpless, she started to run back to the castle. "Your gonna wish you hadn't grabbed me." I hissed. I felt the person laugh against my back. I wrinkled my nose he wreaked of ale.
Something snapped in my brain. I elbowed the man in the stomach, the man let go of me, I turned round to see who the vile man was. It was a bald, red faced, overweight person. I cleared my throat and prepared myself for what might happen next. The man ran towards me waving his sword manically. He was about cut my neck but I grabbed his arm and flipped him on his back. He winced in pain as soon as he hit the ground.
The man had dropped his sword I quickly grabbed the sword and held it to his chest. I was panting heavily, little did I know that Arthur , Gwen and some of the knights were watching all the events unfolding. "Go on then run me through." The man said harshly. I thought about the statement. I lifted the sword above my head, I powered the sword down and I hit the ground. "Leave now." I barked. "Y-y-yes miss." The man stammered as he walked away.
I turned around to see Arthur, Gwen and the knights standing there looking at me in amazement. "What?" I asked as though nothing ever happened. "Who are you?" One of the knights asked. " I'm Laura." I said not knowing what to say. "Your coming with me." Arthur motioned for me to follow him. Brilliant I didn't want this to happen.
