Lost in the World

Chapter 1: We hid under the broken dining table. Footsteps surrounded us, and lights shown around the empty house. They shown on my old family picture, it made me think of how happy we used to be, and how depressed we are now. It used to be me, my mom, my dad, my baby brother, and my little sister- I miss us.

" Tyler! I don't wanna die!" my sister said. " Quiet, we can't get caught--" I looked up and there he was. He had dead eyes staring at us and a large, crooked nose. We knew he took over the world, but we did not know his name, so me and my sister call him "elephant". The way he looked at us was a nasty grin. That's it. We've been caught. That freak killed my parents and-- my 7 month old brother in a gas chamber. My sister is all I have left and now that we've been caught I will have nothing. My sister cryed in to my shoulder. I hugged her tightly. The elephant smacked her aross the face then pulled her by her ear out of the dining table. " Bastard...", he said. then he shoved her to the wooden floor. " You back away from her!" I jumped up and yelled at him. His fist flew up and hit my face. I threw my fist back and shoved him onto the table. I held a knife up to his neck and said, " Damn you and your army, And keep your filthy hands off of my sister!" I threatened. He pulled out a gun and pointed it to my head. " Let go, or I'm killing you an your sister, right now", he said. I backed away. " Smart choice", he said. I lifted my sister off the ground and held her tightly. Her tears ran down my arm and dripped to the floor. " Shh, baby it's okay', I comforted her. I lied. I lied because everything wasn't going to be okay. Soon we would be taken off to seperate islands to be left alone to survive with little supplies. that's not even the worst part. they let go terrible beasts out into the wild to kill us. My little sister, left alone to defend herself. I couldn't imagine it. It was a nightmare i've always had. I mean, my little sister is my world and if something happened to her, then , I don't know what I would do.

Men in white suits took us away out of our beloved home. I looked at the granite table and the wooden staircase. It reminded me of when my whle fammily happily lived here. Tears ran down my face and onto my my sister, Peggy's dark brown hair. I kissed her forehead and squeezed her tightly. Her brown eyes looked into mine. She knew everything would not be okay, I could tell by the way she looked at me. " Wimps..", one man said, " You know it", the other replied. Words couldn't explain how furious I was with them. I could kill them all.

That's all I could remember until I woke up in a pure white room. A woman was chaining me up to a chair, really tightly.

" I'm guessing you aren't so nice."

" Only to your kind"

" I'm human too"

" Lower Class human"

" If I'm lower class, what does that make you?

She slapped me across the face then gave me a dirty look. " I could kill you right now", she said. "Sorry ma'm but that not going to work out for you", I replied.

All the sudden Elephant walked into the room. " Alvin", she greeted him, then left. So the elephant actually had a name. He walked around in circles around me. He examined every part of me. After a few minutes he finally said, " You've been running for years, finally we caught you and your sister." " You even touch her I swear I will-" " You'll do what? You can't help her when you're being sent across the world away from eachother', he said. Wait, what?! My life is over. My sister-- this can't happen. " In fact we're almost to your destination", he said. He pulled my chair over to another room. He opened a door then, pushed me out of the plane, and there I was falling to my death.
