Hi everyone. I started this story in 2011, back when my English sucked. I decided to continue it in Spanish so the language would stop being a problem. Well, a lot has happened since 2011. I moved to a country where English is the main language. I've been living here for a few years and I've been dreading writing the Spanish version since most of anything I write now is usually in English. I have found myself in a small writers block in chapter 16 of the Spanish version, and my friends are no help because of the language so I've decided to translate all the chapters back to English. I hope you enjoy them. Please comment your opinions and vote if you like what you read. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Chapter 1

I heard my dad call from down stairs.

"Wake up my littler unicorn! There's a new day waiting for you!" The same thing he's told me every morning since I was a little girl.

I went to the bathroom and just stood there staring at myself in the mirror like I do every morning, I think is just to let my body wake up. After a while, I brushed my teeth and took a shower. Then I got dressed and looked the time. It was late! I didn't want to be late for the first day of school! Thank God I didn't have to drive my brother, Mike, he said he was going to walk with his girlfriend. He's two years younger so, no car for him yet. I went downstairs and found my dad in the kitchen.

"You are late so you are going to give the sandwich one or two bites, run to your car, and drive recklessly. I'm just hoping this time you make sure not to crash into our mailbox. Did I forget anything or...?"

I give my sandwich three bites to make a difference to what he said. He was right, if I want to be on time, I need to go a little over the limit, by like 20 miles... My dad just smiled. You could say my dad was one of my best friends. He's the best! I can tell him almost anything!

"I'm late and I need to pick the girls up." I said and started running towards the door "I love you!" I yelled to my dad before closing the door behind me.

I turned on my car. I love my car! It isn't the most powerful car but to me, is the best. It's a baby blue convertible mini cooper. My dad bought him for me a couple of months ago; he said it was my birthday present. My birth day is in a couple of weeks but I wanted to go to school the first day with my car. I drove to the next street to pick up JJ and Krys.

"Hey JAK! How are you?" I said using the name that everyone use when they talk about us(I came up with that name for us, we were in 7th grade when I noticed that the first letter of our names created JAK so I told JJ and Krys and we just keep it, It's Jemi Jess, April and Krystal. After a while, people started using it too) and smiled knowing that they both were really excited! Krys wanted to see Patrick, her boyfriend, and JJ wanted to see Andy, Another really good friend of the three of us. Patrick and Andy are really great friends of ours. We're all like siblings and always have such a good time together. We are good friends with them but when we need to talk serious stuff or girls stuff we always talk to JAK. It's kind of awkward to talk with the guys about certain things.

"Well, I don't know about you girls, but I'm really excited!!" said JJ more screaming than just answering my question.

"I'm with you!! Don't doubt it! I can't wait to see Patrick!" Krys said but she doesn't try to hide the excitement like JJ. She screams after every sentence. "This is a new year! We got to find you a good guy April!" I just laughed at that.

"The only guy I would date would be Ian Somerhalder!" I said and they laughed at my silly joke.

"But that guy is an impossible love and he is already taken by Nina Dobrev! We need to find you one that's not only good but available as well." said JJ. This scared a little me because when she wants something she usually gets it.

"Girls do you really think I don't want a guy? Of course I want a guy! But in the last dates with Patrick and Andy's friends I didn't have the best time! Those guys only wanted a night! And I'm not that type of girl." I turned to look at them and they were both looking at me as if they had just caught me in a lie and I quickly realized why. "Okay, maybe I am but I didn't want that with them! Or to the same extend they wanted to get to." I said, what can I say, if they guy's cute enough or whatever and the mood is right, then what the heck? What's so wrong with living in the moment? It's not like I sleep with them anyways. "I've decided I'm going to wait for the right guy to come along. If I meet someone then great and if I don't, even better! Okay? So just let's go with the flow and let things happen, man." I explained saying that last part in a typical stoner voice.

Not long after we arrived to the school and parked in our usual spot. The parking at our school is like the locker, you have to pay once to use it all year. JJ and Krys ran to Patrick and I went with Andy. In my life, these four people know me completely. They are one of the best things in my life. The girls and I have been best friends since 4th grade, Andy joined in 6th grade and Patrick in 7th grade. When I met Andy we started talking a lot and we simply clicked, in no time we trusted each other in such a way. We would always joke around saying that we were siblings in another life. He hugged me and put his arm around me like he always does.

-"How are you big bear?" I asked jokingly. I call him bear because he eats and sleep a lot so much, it's crazy! Also he plays soccer with the school's team and the name of the team is the Bears.

"I am happy. Practice start tomorrow, classes today... New car yesterday..." he said smiling at the last statement. I looked at him with a big smile, his dark hair with the Mohawk style and his tan skin redder today, signals that he went to the beach. His eyes are dark brown but they seem to shine whenever he's excited about something, like now.

"What!? Are you serious!? That's awesome!! So you just drove to the beach to spend some time alone with your new 'Baby'?" I said using the name he would always use for his last car.

"Yes I went to the beach and no Baby is not his name" he said that and smile. "Baby was unique, cozy, and perfect..." He made a Dramatic pause. "Too bad the brakes weren't working that night..." He dedicated a moment of silence to his diseased old car as he looked to the 'horizon'. I laughed and remembered that night. He called me around 11:30pm and asked me the usual stuff: how are you? What's up? And when I asked him the same, he simply told me he was at the hospital like as if it were nothing. I almost died of a heart attack. Andy barely ever shows a specific emotion, you need to really know him to understand how he feels and pay attention to his actions. He's always making jokes, smiling and laughing. That's something I like about him, he's so carefree and his smile makes you feel free. It's like his happiness is contagious. I attempted to ask what the new name was this time but the bell rang. "I'll tell you the new name later."
