After I got up and went back to Alex she was still asleep, the doctor came in and checked her vitals. I asked

''Is she gonna be waking up anytime soon?"

"I'm not to sure, as of right now no she won't be."

I nodded and he left, I stayed at the hospital with Alex almost everyday. I only left to go home and get clothes, I never really left her side. I sat and thought about everything that'd happened and what was going on these past few weeks I was atleast 3-4 weeks pregnant now and Alex still hadn't woke up. I needed to goto the doctor but I didn't want to go until I knew my baby was okay.

Darrien came by as much as he could, It'd been a month now and Alex still hadn't woke up. I was started to feel defeated, Darrien came by late one night to bring me something to eat. I shook my head and told him I wasn't hungry.

"Girl quit playing wit me, yo lil ass need to eat, it ain' just you no more"

I laughed "Ok nigga damn, when'd you become so overprotective"

"Since you been carrying my lil neice or nephew"

"Awwww listen at you"

He shook his head and laughed, pulled up a chair next to me. "How you been holding up Lil sis?"

I've been making it haven't wrapped my head around most things but I really just want my baby back, I'm scared about this baby and I don't know how she'll react.

"Yall gone be aight sis, she gone wake up and everything's gonna be fine."

"I know, I just wish she'd just wake up already."

"Yea I hear you, ain' nothing been the same without her, have you made a doctor's appt yet?"

I shook my head no, and told him I was gonna wait but I knew I couldn't hold it off any longer so I called and made one. When I came back and sat in the chair Darrien was talking to Alex, I just listened and smiled. When Darrien got up to leave Alex's eyes opened. I jumped up

"Baby ! Omg Your Awake !" I cried. Darrien rushed back over and smiled down at her

"Welcome back nigga, I knew they couldn't keep a true thug down forever"

I laughed at them and just stared at Alex crying, I helped sit her up and gave her some water.

She started to look like her old self again, she smiled my favorite smiled and kissed me. We kissed for a whole five minutes, forgetting Darrien was in the room until he said

"Damn can you niggas breathe?"

We laughed and I climbed in the bed with Alex, Darrien stayed for another hour and a half then left saying he was a daddy too. I shot him a look telling him to shutup but he just smiled and left.

*Alex's POV*

I was there but I wasn't really there, I'd heard Darrien and Nique talking about me. But what really got my attention is when Darrien said my niece or nephew. Nique was pregnant? I heard her say she was scared of how I'd react to it, I wanted to talk to her but I couldn't find my voice let alone open my eyes.

Darrien started talking to me letting me know how the business was going and theat he was holding it down for me but nothiings been the same. He told me he was worried about Nique and that I needed to wake up for her sake because she needed me.

I heard Nique come back in the room she walked over to the side of the bed and grabbed my hand. That was enough , I managed to get my eyes opened and she jumped up sayin "Baby ! OMG You're awake !." I couldn't speak just yet but I missed that beautiful face. Darrien came back over and looked down at me smiling then said

"Welcome back nigga, I knew they couldn't keep a true thug down forever."

Nique helped me sit up and she gave me some water, I looked at her and smiled. She kissed me and didn't object, we kissed for a whole five minutes forgetting Darrien was there until he cleared his throat and said

"Damn can you niggas breathe ?"

We laughed and talked, Darrien stayed for a little while longer then said he had to go. Talking a whole bunch a shit then said "I'm a daddy too you know" He smiled and looked at Nique who just shook her head. That'd reminded me..

I turned to face her and placed a hand on her stomach rubbing it. It was a little hard bump..She looked at me, I stared into her eyes and saw so much fear I could tell she was tired too. I smiled at her and said

"Are you?"

She nodded once, although I was mad as fuck about what my brother did to her I wasn't gonna fault her for that. Not at a time like this, not ever actually. He was gone pay. Trust and believe.

I was out of the hospital, and boy I tell ya it felt good to be home. Nique isn't letting me go anywhere without her, she's stuck by my side from day one. I love her man.

"Baby I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, do you wanna go?"

I kissed her "Do I have a choice ?"

She laughed "Hmm good point"

I missed her laugh, I layed my head in her lap and let her play with my dreads until I fell asleep. I remember my baby kissing me and whispering "I Love You" before cuddling next to me.

The next morning we woke up ate breakfast and headed to the doctors office around 9:30. When we got there she went to the desk to let them know she was there. She came and sat next to me and grabbed my hand. About 15 minutes later...

"Zhannique Johnson?"

The nurse came out smiling and we got up and followed her to the back. Once in the room the nurse told us the doctor would be there shortly, we nodded and sat in silence.

There was a knock on the door and the doctor came in, she greeted us and talked to Nique and asked her how she'd been doing and all that other stuff.

"Well Ms.Johnson as you know you're about 2 months pregnant and you and your babies are good and healthy."

Nique looked at her like she had two heads and said

"Babies !?"

The doctor laughed and said "Yes m'am babies, congratulations you're having twins ..............
