"Mom!"

"Mom!"

"Mo--"

"What? What is it?" Mom asked barging into my room, annoyed.

I stopped what I was doing, looked up at her and smiled a big cheesy grin.

"I know that grin...you want something. What is it?" She asked crossing her arms whilst smirking.

I giggled.

"Whaaat?" I asked with my pitch getting to its highest point.

Mom giggled and push me a little, I giggled.

"Tell me, come on!"

I took her hand leading her to sit next to me on my bed.

"Mom...I'm 17 going on 18...and I don't know...I was thinking maybe it's time to kick the trusting up a notch...?" I said.

I wasn't finished, but I needed to see how she was taking it so far. She looked confused.

"Yeah, okay...just spill it."

I sighed.

"Mom! This is serious," I said crossing my arms.

"Well, tell me then! You're starting to scare me."

"Well...you know Andrea and Jenn, right?" I asked smiling.

"Mhm...."

"Well...they invited me to a week long cruise!" I said with a smile whilst closing my eyes.

I wasn't sure what she would say.

"Honey, you're only 17...you can't go."

She got off my bed and stood up.

"What?! Mom! You're suppose to say yes! Come on, let's try it again," I said as I pulled her back.

She laughed then let go of my grip.

"You can't go, Hailey! That's too much worrying for me."

She walked out my room without letting me have a say. This is how it always is. I NEVER get a say, but she says it all! I hate this! She can't trust me! I know she really doesn't care because I've been to a bunch of late parties and slumber parties! She's just trying to push my buttons! AND IT'S WORKING!

I groaned as I walked to my school bag. I took out my iPhone 5 and texted Andrea.

Hailey: "SHE SAID NO!!!!!!!!"

Andrea: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE SAID NO?!?!!?!?!? WE DON'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER AND YOU CAN TELL HER THAT!!!!!!"

I got up, opened my door and screamed, "WE DON'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!"

I went back onto my bed to text Andrea.

Hailey: "What do I do?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I REALLY REALLLY REALLY WANNA GOOOOO!"

Andrea: "Jenn and I want you to come, too... :( I don't know what to do ugh!"

Hailey: "I guess I can't go then... :'( (internally screaming)"

Andrea: "NO WE CANT GIVE UP, WE WONT."

Hailey: "Thanks D, but it's not gonna happen. My Mom gives me no say whatsoever!"

Andrea: "We'll work something out, I promise! Text you when we got an idea! *DON'T LOSE HOPE*"

Hailey: "Thanks(:"

I put my phone to charge then laid on my bed watching black and white soap operas. There went my whole Thursday afternoon.

"Hailey, you have to eat!" Mom screamed from the outside of my room door.

"I have to go to that cruise with Andrea and Jenn, but that's not happening, is it?" I asked in reply.

She groaned and stormed off. I sighed and continued watching my "forever alone" black and white soap operas.

I heard my phone beep. I rolled over and checked who it was from - it was from Andrea!

Andrea: "WE GOT IT! TOMORROW! ME, YOU AND JENN! LUNCH! BE THERE! (:"

I smiled big.

Hailey: "Count on it! (; x"

I put my phone back and smiled like a dork through my soap operas. I've NEVER smiled whilst watching soap operas!

I woke up the next morning actually feeling excited to go to school! Oh, boy! I'm SO excited!
