Chapter 2 ☁

I ran when I saw Andrea and Jenn sitting at our table in the morning.

"Hey! So, what's the plan?" I asked excitedly.

"Okay...so, it's not 'Albert Einstein' material, but it's the best we came up with!" Jenn said.

I giggled.

"Anything's 'Albert Einstein' material at this point. Shoot!"

"Okay...just annoy her! Since, according to you, your mom doesn't really care if you're away, annoy her and she'll wish you were going with us, so she'd be like, 'you know what? She's going!'" Andrea explained.

I giggled.

"You play my Mom really well!" I smiled.

They laughed.

"I love it, but I don't know if it'll work. She's lived with me for 17 years, almost 18."

Andrea and Jenn nodded whilst I jokingly rolled my eyes.

"Whatever."

We all laughed.

The bell rang for first period. Like usual, I doze off in class whilst listening to music or drawing.

"Mom! Can you pass me my soda?" I asked.

This is the start to our little plan to get me on the cruise.

"You're right there!" She said pointing to the distance between my cup and I.

My cup and I are ridiculously close (I dare you to say that out loud in front of someone!).

"Eh!" I whined as I pretended to not be able to grab my cup.

She groaned.

"Hailey, quit! Here!" She said passing it to me.

I smirked whilst she continued watching TV.

"Mom! Where are the lady stuff?"

"Mom! Where's my toothbrush?"

"I don't know, alright?! I don't know! Maybe the restroom. Have you tried the kitchen? What about the patio? I'm done, Hailey! Ugh, you're definitely going to that cruise! I. Need. A. Break!"

She said then stormed off to her room.

I smiled as she walked off then screamed my lungs out when she was out of sight.

"I'm going to the cruise! I'm going to the cruise! I'm going to the cruise!" I sang as I dialed Andrea.

"Hello?" she answered.

"D, guess who's going on a week long cruise with her two best friends!" I said excitedly.

All I got was screams.
