* 2 Days Later *

It was time for the cruise. I didn't tell anyone, not even Andrea or Jenn, but I get homesick whenever I go far from home. It's fine, but it can get really bad at times. I'm a bit homesick now, but I've been worse so I know it's nothing I can't handle.

"You ready?" Andrea said breaking my trance and leaning on my door.

I turned around and smiled after zipping my luggage.

"Yeah...."

She smiled.

"Cool. We're just waiting for Sam," she said smiling and sitting on my bed.

I sat down next to her whilst nodding.

"Hey...c-can I ask you something?" I asked hesitantly.

"Sure," she smiled.

"Do you...um, do you ever get homesick? You know, like, now that we're going on a cruise."

She chuckled.

"No, not really. It's fun. Independence isn't always easy to get, so I embrace it."

She stood up whilst smiling. I nodded still feeling the same way, but taking her words in consideration.

"Wanna go wait with the rest of us?"

"N-No, thanks."

I smiled. She nodded then walked back down the stairs. I sighed and looked at my locket. I took it off my neck and opened it. There was a picture of Katie hugging a teddy bear. I smiled and shed a tear, blocking all sounds. I was smiling and remembering Katie when I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and into my room. I suspected it was Andrea.

"Hey, An--"

I looked up and saw Jc standing there. My heart froze then began to pound. I didn't understand why, but I couldn't stop. I looked away after realizing I was staring into Jc's eyes.

"Oh, I thought you were Andrea...."

I looked away awkwardly. I always embarrass myself in some way or another. He smiled.

"It's cool. Sam's done and they told me to come get you."

I nodded then grabbed my luggage.

"Here, I'll take it for you."

He grabbed my luggage from my hand. I smiled.

"Thanks."

"No problem."

We began to walk downstairs.

"Hey, um...Jc," I spoke up.

"Yeah?"

"Are you afraid?"

"Of what?"

"You know, going on the cruise. Like, homesick."

"No," he said laughing.

I frowned feeling misunderstood and out of place.

"I mean, sometimes..." I looked up at him in hope whilst smiling, "sometimes I get homesick, but it's gonna be fine."

I nodded.

"Thanks," I smiled then hugged him.
