"Beep! Beep! Bee-"I slammed my hand against the clock to stop the annoying beeping. Groggily, I made my way out of my comfortable bed, and into my bathroom. Mondays suck. Period.
Once in the bathroom, I stripped off my pjs and stared at my naked reflection. Disgusted at what I saw in the mirror, I looked away and hopped in the shower, relaxing as the warm jets of water hit my skin. I quickly scrubbed my entire body and washed my hair. I finished in record time and wrapped a towel around my body, securing it tightly. I stepped out of the shower and brushed my teeth, before walking out of the bathroom.
I threw open my closet doors. After a few minutes, I decided on wearing black high waisted shorts, a plain white v neck t-shirt, and a pair of black Toms. I slid on my clothes, and some big gold hoop earrings that I found on my desk along with my other crap that wasn't suppose to be there. I sat on my vanity and plugged in my curling iron.
As I waited for my iron to heat up, I saw my phone screen light up, I grabbed it and looked at the screen. It was a text from Alex, one of my best friends. 'Ay r u done yet or do I have to drag u from ur room. Again.'
I rolled my eyes before replying. 'I'm almost done and don't do that again my parents almost press charges against u.' Remembering my parents horrified expressions when they saw Alex coming out of my room, dragging a messy looking me towards the front door. The thing was, Alex came in through my room window and of course, my parents got the wrong idea and almost called the police.
'Wow. Ik ur parents hate me but do they really hate me tht much? I mean we've been friends since elementary.'
'Yes' I typed, without hesitation. I never really knew why my parents suddenly hated Alex, they had no problem with James, Alex's step brother and one of my other closest friends.
'Well the feeling's mutual anyways hurry up i'll b there @ 7:40'
I glanced at the clock. Shit. It was 7:30, I have ten minutes to get ready. I quickly curled my hair and applied some make-up, which consisted of a bit of foundation, mascara, eyeliner, and chapstick. I glanced at the mirror one last time and placed a maroon beanie on top of my head and a handful of bracelets on my wrists.
I thought about the real reason why I wore the bracelets, which of course brought back memories about the man that made my life a living hell ever since I was 5 years old. I pushed the thoughts of that horrible man out of my mind, it's okay now he gone and he won't come back ever, I reassured myself. I glanced up at the clock, it was 7:38. I opened my bedroom door and rushed down the marble stairs. I walked in the kitchen and the smell of food engulfed me.
I saw my mother making eggs by the stove and my step-father George, sitting on the dinning table reading the newspaper, a cup of coffee in his hand. "Good morning mother, morning George,"
"Good morning sweetheart,"
"Good morning Kylie,"
"Do you wants something to eat before you leave?" Asked my mother, nodding towards the pan full of eggs.
I cringed at the sight of food and shook my head. "No thanks, I just came here to get my bag. My rides almost here,"
"Who's driving you? Samantha is in Hawaii." George asked with an eyebrow raised.
I gulped, since my parents hate Alex I haven't told them that he's been driving me to and from school. I've always told them that my best friend Sammy, was the one that was doing it.
"Uh, Kim! Yeah, Kim's driving me," I told them, referring to my other friend. Just then my phone beeped, I glanced at it and it was a text from Alex, saying that he just arrived outside of my house. "Anyways, I have to go. Love you mom, bye George!" I grabbed my backpack and ran out the front door.
