'Hello?' I spoke as the call seemed to disconnect. "Well that was weird.." I thought to myself as mason seemed to be enjoying his fries. "Who's that momma..?" He questioned with a small smile on his face. "I don't know baby boy... We're going to see... some people today Mase.." I sighed softly as I gently ruffled his hair,he instantly looked up towards me with a small pout "not the hair momma." I let out a soft chuckle as we finished our food and walking towards our car.

I closed the backdoor to the car to begin walking around towards the drivers side. I was looking down towards my phone as I felt a sudden thump onto my shoulder as I quickly noticed I bumped into this man. "Im so sorry" we both simultaneously said. I laughed a bit as I slightly scrunched my eyebrows noticing that familiar smile. He was tall,muscular like if he just came out of a magazine and just received a freshly new haircut,bald of course. I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

"Yeah.. Um sorry"I said. "Ha, don't worry.." He winked playfully as I bit onto the corner of my lower lip before hearing a small knock onto the window "and I have to go.. Bye!" I opened the drivers door as I gave a polite wave towards the man before driving off.

I turned my head back to only notice the man suddenly disappeared from my view before taking off down the road once more. I adjusted my review mirror as I signaled to the left to head off of the main roadway as I took a couple different roads before heading towards my destination.

"Mase, how are you doing back there?" I spoke as I kept my focus onto the road as I tapped onto the steering wheels nervously while I moved down the familiar road. "Mmm..... Okay. Whe..where we going?" He replied as I let out a soft sigh before pulling down onto the side of the road and stopping in front of a house. "we're going to meet grandma and grandpa...." I softly spoke just right after before parking the car completely as I pulled my phone out and dialing a number.

I bit onto my lip nervously as it began ringing before hearing a soft 'Hello..' break the silence. "Mom...." I clenched my hand tightly around the steering wheel as I heard a soft gasp through the other side of the phone line "...." No response. "Mom?" I spoke a bit louder. "D-Demi....." She spoke as a small year trickled down the corner of my eye,before quickly wiping it. "It's me mom... Um... I'll be.. I just..." "Are you here? L-like in California...?" "Umm..." I sighed slightly before turning the car off and getting out of the car quickly as I took out mason.

I took a hold of his hand as I began walking down the sidewalk of the house as my mom began asking me endless question. "Are you in LA,Demetria?" She asked once more before lifting my hand up, just an inch away from the door before letting out a soft gulp and taking a step back. "No... I just..... Wanted to say I missed you.." I responded quietly before lifting up mason into my arms as he rested his head sadly into the crook of my neck before making my way back towards the car. "O-oh... I need... You need to come home..... I-" I cut her off.."I'll come home when Im ready.." "It's been years.." I heard her sniffle slightly before setting mason into the car and hanging up the phone as I slid it back into my pocket,before getting into the car.

I burst into tears as I leaned my head back against the seat before wiping them away. "I thought..... We were... meeting gwandma and-" "not today,sweetie." I turned my head back towards him as he lightly nodded before driving off towards the house.
