"The Interview"
Demi's POV

"Are you sure you're ready for this..?"
"We can always cancel it if you're not ready."
"Cmon, let's just blow off the interview."

"Guys, I need to do this and it would really help if you were by my side on this.. Instead of bickering at me." I said. I felt an uneasy settlement in my stomach as if I were going to puke at any second, but it was just the nerves. I had very little sleep last night, unknowing of the questions I'd be ask but it's something that I have to do.

I turned my head over towards Joe as he flashed off a smile at me which seems to calm my nervousness, before he held up the keys. "You know I could bring a body-.." "Joseph, I'm not taking a bodyguard. Is mason ready?"

He nodded as he motioned his hand over towards a playful 4 year old. I couldn't help but smile i extended my hand out to take a hold of Joe's.

My eyes gleamed up at the huge entrance as I held onto mason's small hand as Joe followed in right behind us. After pushing open the entrance I was greeted by one of the workers who began leading us towards the area where we'd do the interview.

My eyes scanned around noticing the area set up with a couple couches facing each other, and many camera's.
The lighting set up just perfectly while I take I a deep breath and slowly exhaling.

"Well.. Well.. Well.. It's been such a long time Demi." The voice said as my eyes shot up as a widened smile appeared over my lips. "Giuliana.. Hi, yeah it's been too long." I said with a slight enthusiastic tone to my voice.

"Everything's all set up, and just take your seat. As for Joseph and.. Im guessing this is mason as we discussed on the phone you guys can take a seat and watch." She said with a smile as I turned back to blow a kiss at mason as I made my way with her to one of the sofas. I took a seat in front of her as she gave me a brief preview of what will happen.

Ready, set, roll the camera's.

"Hello, welcome to an E! special with me Giuliana Rancic. We're here with you today with an extra special interview. There was nothing about her that wasn't able to be accomplished. She's don't it all from movies to music, and hit Disney tv shows. Touring along side the Jonas brothers. This girl had it all but all of it came to a stop four years ago.. And we'll find out why. Demi." She said as she turned her attention to me, flashing a small smile as I looked towards her.

"Hello, It's been a while since I've done this and I'm not going to lie.. Im Soo nervous." I said with a small laugh while my smile remained over my lips.

"The last time you were here you were jus a kid and now you've transformed into a beautiful young lady." She said which caused me to blush just a bit.

"Awe.. Well thank you."

"I know many people have been anticipating this moment for a long time. I guess we all want to know.. 'Why'd you leave'" she said. Probably the most anticipated question of the night.

I let out a soft sigh as I adjusted myself in my seat as I looked down to my hands and back up at her. "Everyone knows about the infamous relationship I had back with Joe. When you're a kid yourself. The emotions that overcome you when you after a bad break up and then realizing the person you cared about the most so happily moved on with someone else. It's heartbreaking. Plus I way just under a whole lot of pressure and I just felt like I was going to crack if I didn't just get out. I found out not too long ago about the whole story to why Joe left me, and it was because management decided they needed something new." I said with my eyes rolled before letting out a soft chuckle.

"As I can see from recent pictures that you both are all fine now." She said with a grin while I replied with a nod.
"Can you give us the full story the day after you left?"

I nodded, "The day after I left, I spoke to my parents just before that about the situation I was in. They understood completely but I could see in their eyes they were just heartbroken. My dad, Eddie called who was my manager at the time to HWR and we canceled everything from the contract to a tour I was supposed to do later on that month. The day after that my bags were packed and I headed off to Texas. I immediately canceled my credit cards, and changed numbers on my phone so I wouldn't be tracked. I went Mia for a very long time and there's not a day I don't regret leaving but I believe it was good for me. I lived in a small Texas town and that's where I found out something that would change me completely. My son. For everyone that now thinks I left because I found out I was pregnant is completely wrong. I didn't know till a few weeks after."

"Is Joe the-"
"Joe is the father, and honestly he's one of the greatest people to step up into this position since the moment he first found out."

I couldn't help but smile as I looked over at them as i motioned for mason to come over as he quickly made his way. I lifted him up into my lap as I heard an "Awe" from Giuliana.

We began talking a few things that happened after I left and the entire fan base just completely falling to pieces. "That's one of the things I regret, I never meant to hurt anybody in the process but my mind just sound wound up on other things. It was just hard on me, and I get that It sounds selfish but I had to focus on my health."
"Has mason watched a show of yours" she laughed as i nodded with a wide smile. "Oh my god, It came to a point where he would start rephrasing some lines to me."

"What was it like coming back? I'd there any chance that maybe you'd come back into music or some other projects."

"That's something that's crosses my mind numerous of times. Yeah music is one of the things that keeps me going and there's not anything set in stone so maybe."

"There's one last question I'd like for you to answer before this ends is.. Why'd it take so long for you to come back."

"I didn't think I'd ever come back. I wasn't in the right state of mind when I was there due to a bad relationship I was in. I didn't have thoughts of coming back but something in me knew I needed to. I was homesick for a long time and I needed to go back home and see my family. I've matured over the years and I'm not the same young innocent girl I used to be. I have a family of my own now and that'll always come first before anything." I said with a final smile as I kissed the top of mason head as Giuliana ended with a final speech.
