"Wow.Mom this place is amazing." I gasped.
It was true, too.
We had just arrived in Dallas and
I was looking at the huge art museum and all
the sculptures, gasping at everything.
My mom laughed.
"See, Mike? I told you he would love it here!"
She said to my dad and my dad huffed.
"It's just because of all these texas men!"
That was true in a way, but something about his tone made me a little mad.
My dad was a gruff man, and he was
never really found of my gayness.
He always made rude insults that made me
feel bad, and it always drove the fu-
"Mitch! Mike! Come look at this!"
My mom yelled all of a sudden.
We looked.
There, lay two kids about my age
one boy, and one girl.
They looked very hungry and a little
messed up.
The boy looked up at us and we saw that
he had beautiful deep blue eyes.
He had blonde hair and he was wearing
a red shirt. It wrote 'flawless' on the back.
'he sure is,' I thought. 'well at least his features are.'
As I was lost in thought thinking this,
the blue eyed boy crawled over to us.
I jumped.
"Help us...please.." He had a surprisingly deep
voice which made me get turned on even more.
I tried to hide it.
I put on my grim face and knelt by him.
He flinched and crawled back a little.
I sat down.
"Hi my name's Mitch. What's yours?"
He looked at me for a while. "Scott." he finally said.
I smiled at him. From far away, the girl who
was crawling next to Scott watched silently.
"Well Scott. How can we help you?"
That got him out of his confusion. He quickly got to his knees and ducked his head down.
"Please..help us just this one night sir..!
Me and Kirstie,we have no where to go," he gestured towards the watching girl and
I smiled at her. "and if you help us just
this once, we will never bother you again.
Just please can you give us a place to sleep,
to rest, just for one night....?"
Scott was near tears during his last sentence
and he wiped his eyes angrily.
I looked up at my parents who were watching and litsening right behind me. I heard my mom squeal lightly and when I looked at her,
she smiled, huge.
"Well of course, Scott!" she said as if he was her long lost friend. "You will stay with us forever and ever!!" wait say what?
My dad started to say something, I think it was "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND??!!"
but mom never even gave him a chance.
"You can come home with us sweetie!!
If that's okay with you!" Scott beamed.
"Sure!O...of course! Hey K!!I found ourselves a family!! C'mon don't be shy!!" he shouted.
Kirstie, the brown haired girl, came to
us slowly. She looked very suspicious at first,
and I didn't blame her.
But as time passed, she relaxed and let out her happy-go-skippy personality.
They got welcomed into the family, and they were happy.
But I for one, wasn't all happy.
Oh believe me I really loved that they're my
family. It's just...
I didn't trust myself to be with Scott.
And I still don't.
And I was not alone on that thought.
