Scott's POV
I sat next to Mitch's bed and stared at him.
He was ignoring me, and I decided to have some fun with him. I leaned in.
It effected him immediately. He flinched and turned to looke at me.
WHAT DO YOU WANT? he wrote.I locked eyes with him. "You have to talk, Mitch. Or it might get serious. You might never speak again."
Mitch stayed stubborn and shook his head.
I groaned. "Why, Mitch? Don't you wanna talk?"He shook his head no.
"Then you should say something."
Mitch's POV
why won't he understand that I don't wanna make a fool out of myself infront of him?If he'd just leave, I'd talk.
I got out my pad and wrote,GO AWAY
He frowned at it. "Why?"
I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU.
Truthfully, I didn't want him to see me.
He looked hurt, but also firm. He took away my pen, pad and phone.
I stared at him."Talk." He said.
I looked away. He reached for me. I wriggled away. He caught my chin. He turned me around.
I faced him. My wide eyes met his blue ones.
He stayed still. Then he leaned in.
I couln't move. The image I saw in my head was coming true. I wanted to know how I felt.Scott leaned in....and brushed the hair out of my eyes. "You look stuffy, gurl."
He pulled away.I stared at him in disbelief.
Then I felt my cheeks turn red. I was so EMBARRASSED! I pulled away, sharpish. I hated that guy.
Scott grinned at me. "Hey..What's wrong?"He knew what was wrong. That bitch.
I opened my mouth to say, "Oh nothing really I'm just very disturbed that My brother is toying with my imotions!!" but all that came out was, "Guhhhshuuptuuuuh."
Then I remembered I couldn't speak.Scott grinned at me. "Try." He said.
I punched him and he moaned.
Get off my case. I thought. Oh I wish I could say that. One day later
Scott was bothering me again. He kept asking me to talk, and I ignored him completely.
"I don't understand. He should be talking by now." Kirstie muttered.
"I'm one hundred persent sure his throat cleared up ages ago." Scott said, grinning.
"Then why can't he talk?" Kirstie asked.
"He can, it's just that he chooses not to."
I hate Scott. Mostly because he was right.
I think I could talk now, but I choose not to talk cause I don't know how I'll sound if I do.
I might sound stupid.
I can test it out, but dang old Scott won't leave my room."Scott, you're speaking nonesence. Let's go get some Starbucks." Kirstie said, standing up.
Scott's eyes never left my face, but he stood up reluctantly. TALK. He mouthed.
Scott's POV
I stood up, and followed Kirstie out the door.
Just then..."I love you."
I heard it.
Clear as day.
I turned around and faced him.
He was standing up and grinning slyly."Let's blow this popsicle stand."
