Nadine

Amf.

Kalokohan.

Nako, Nadine 'eto nanaman tayo. Back to square one! Hindi ba iniwan mo na lahat sa Korea? Hindi ba na fulfill ka naman sa #SeoulSearching peg na ginawa mo doon? Hindi ba nasagot naman ang mga tanong mo?

Nadine stood in front of the vanity on-set, staring at her own reflection, berating herself.

And yet, here we go again. Nagpadala ka nanaman. Bat ba di mo kaya pigilan ang sarili mo? Why can't you see that it's just displaced attention because there are no other single girls around?

She continued her sermon and even answered herself back.

Pero what if it's different this time? What if it's real and not just for show?

STOP.

She closed her eyes and shook her head vigorously.

Niloloko mo lang sarili mo.

She and James just got back from the first leg of their JaDine concert and final On the Wings of Love shooting in San Francisco. Everything went well and the fan turnout was WAY more than expected. It felt good. It was heartwarming.

Heartmelting. Her heart melted in spite of the extremely cold weather.

Hay James. Robert James Reid. Why do you keep doing this to me? Palagi nalang. Kailangan ba sumakay pa tayo ng eroplano and be a thousand miles away from Manila for you to realize that I'm a lady?

Obviously, James has been on Nadine's mind. She couldn't help but think of his actions towards her during their trip.

So accommodating, caring, understanding and most of all protective of her. In every fumble she made, he was there reidy to catch her.

When they arrived in San Francisco she was a bit stiff and she knew her fans noticed that but they let it pass as exhaustion due to the long plane ride. Little did they know that it was because she was worried about her mom.

Just as the boarding call for their flight was made, she received a call that her mom is on her way to the hospital to prepare for her operation the next day. For a brief moment Nadine forgot who she was with and told James she's feeling uneasy. Oddly enough he slung his arm around her shoulders, gave her a squeeze and whisphered,

"She will be okay." His voice, soothing, sent tingles up her spine.

She looked up at him and he gave her an assuring smile.

Which caught her a bit off guard. Why did he do that? She thought. He really couldn't care less about her much more her family. She whisphered a silent prayer.

One for the success of her mom's operation and the other for her heart.

"HEY." His edgy voice woke her from reverie. She didn't realize he already went ahead and had handed his boarding pass to the gate staff.

"Last call na, are you coming or what?" He asked sounding slightly irritated.

Ayon, there's the real James I've come to know.
